GameStop — Local services in Elk Grove Township

I have been a big fan of this GameStop since the one up on Rand and Arlington Heights road has closed. I haven't been in for awhile but I thought I'd try my luck on my lunch break at a free Pokemon distribution for the Scarlet and Violet games.

It fell on release of multiple other products and since it's free, I believe they were handing them out like candy to people who came in with very little stock (from what I heard for other GameStop's is 50 codes total which is another issue).

For future code distributions, my only suggestion is to have people bring in their switch console and show they have the game so it isn't going to the massive Pokemon scalping community.

The reason I'm giving this review is due to one of the people working in the store being condescending and rude to the people who were waiting in line. "We opened three hours ago you should have come in then" as if it isn't a Friday and people have work? Like come on, just say you are sorry you don't have any left. I decided to come shop in this gamestop because it is the closest one to me and I haven’t been to one in a while. I was specifically looking for card holders for my sports card collection and to see maybe if they had some Pokemon funko pops. The selection they had for the variety of items took me away I was really impressed. They had the jumbo Dialga in stock I had to snag it when I heard the price. Im so used to buying them at a little premium online. This is now my local and favorite gamestop, the employees were awesome too! Not only do they have video games there and systems but now they have toys especially Star Wars and toys that you may not find at other places. They have a huge selection of figures from popular video games and TV shows and anime shows. They also have some really cool helmets that you can wear from different genres like Marvel, Star Wars Etc. They have roleplay weapons and such. And the staff there are really cool! They are down to earth they will help you with whatever questions you have and I have spent sometimes hours in there and nobody told me I had to leave or that I was taking up too much time or any of that.
