I received quotes from 3 or 4 alterations places and as soon as I walked into Grace's home business and met her, I knew she would be the one to work on my dress. Just glancing around the room at all the dresses she was currently working on told me that people trusted her. In addition to basic alterations, Grace also creates her own dresses from scratch! (If I had known this ahead of time, I probably would have had her just make me a dress vs buying one!) I was lucky enough to be able to see some of her work first hand and it is absolutely breathtaking.

The alteration appointments were very quick and to the point. Each time I went in, the dress fit and looked better and better. Grace was easy to talk to and a pleasure to work with. She is extremely knowledgeable and has MANY years of experience. There were a couple of times I had to reschedule my appointments last minute due to my work schedule or I was running a bit late, but it was no issue for her.

I received so many compliments on my dress the night of my wedding and I cannot wait to get our professional photos back. I would hands-down recommend Grace to do your wedding dress (or homecoming/prom, Marine ball, whatever!) alterations as she did a fantastic job on...

Would give Grace 10 stars if I could as she was literally “my saving grace” for my wedding! Long story short - after the alterations at the bridal shop in downtown Chicago messed up my first wedding dress, I went to Grace for alterations. Grace was amazing to work with and very flexible! My new wedding dress arrived less than two weeks before my wedding, and Grace worked hard to get all the alterations done in time. She is extremely skilled in what she does and has a great eye for how the wedding dress is intended to look and fit. I had a classic strapless, ball gown wedding dress, and Grace did a flawless job with alterations. She added just enough layers underneath the dress to give it the right level of fullness and fitted the dress perfectly to my waist so that the dress didn’t fall down throughout my wedding day. She also sewed a beautiful ballroom bustle onto the dress which gave the dress a simple and elegant style...

I was referred here through my bridal Shop. Very first appointment she told me I would need about 3 appointments total- not much to be done. She gave me a set price from the start but didn’t include the steaming - which was fine. She is pricey but I didn’t have a problem with it since she seemed to do good work.

My second appointment and she was suppose to have lifted the lace of my dress& take in the sides… nothing was done on the dress when I arrived . I thought maybe she forgot. 3 appointments ended up to be 7. She took the chest area in way too much & offered to order lace and fix it . When I explained it was too tight her response was “ you wanted support this is support” . She does good work but I didn’t expect it to take so long for minor changes. She finished my dress 2 days before I needed it so that was the only part...
