The reasons for my review its because of the outstanding and stellar customer service I received everytime I visit the store. Every week I get to buy milk from them and other items we needed for the restaurant. This place and its team are beyond amazing. I shop super early and you'll see staff greeting you with smile, normally its Caroline, Debbie from the cash registrar will see me and will say hello with her big bold and happy voice, and Sangita too, this 3 ladies are just fantastic. They help me making my purchase a lot easier without even asking them, they will initiate to extend help right away. For almost a year since pandemic they're customer is exemplary and consistent in taking care of customers, helping customers and not ignoring them.. they have the best team work regardless of what isle you may end up no one will ignore you. all the staff working hard stocking everything and the best part is super duper clean! One of my best experiences was last couple days when Erika the night shift manager and Nikko, help me looking for the specific item faster, Erika literally walk with me to find all the items. They totally didn't give up looking for the product I needed, such amazing people. Can't thank them enough, normally some other store staff will refuse to help you because they just don't wanna help or they're just lazy but them even though I guess they're shift is over they're still took time to help me and I appreciate it a lot! Read moreHad the worst experience today 6/10/2023 around 7:00-7:15pm @ the Rolling Meadows Meijer with the cashier named Nancy. The rudest encounter I ever had. I’m pretty sure they have it on tape. First there was no greeting or anything. No Smile, nothing. As she aggressively bags my items I didn’t say anything. I just watched. At the end of bagging my items, I had 4 bottles of Clearly Canadian glass bottles. She put the bottle in the full bag of cans. I politely asked can you bag them separately. She had a rude tone, & asked do you want me to bag each one separately? Common sense, bag the bottles separately. I’m like bag them in a separate bag together. After asking her to do that. She takes the one bottle out the bag with the cans & throws the bag on top of the bag rack & it almost fell. I looked at her & just walked away. There’s no way I would give my money to a store that employs workers with this poor customer service. I reported her to a team lead & he said he would escalate the issue. What made matters worse. She yells are you going to pay for this stuff? I politely said NO, not after you threw it. She said, didn’t throw anything. & laugh as if it was funny. Look I understand we have bad days & you may not want to be at work. You are representing the store badly if your customer service skills are bad. I didn’t want to stoop down to her level & be ignorant back. She’s old & I do respect my elders. I don’t think she should be a cashier with that type of attitude. Read moreI have been shopping here since the store opened - and have vowed at times to never return. My prior frustrations have mainly been with the self service lanes not working properly and mPerks offers for items the store doesn't carry. The sales are really great and with mPerks, you can save even more, so that's why I still shop here.
While most of the employees are nice, I ran into a nasty cashier today who treated me like a 2-year-old. You cannot tell if mPerks have come off until the end and really only when you look at the receipt. I am fully aware you cannot clip mPerks and use manufacturer's coupons for the same item(s). I knew I had clipped mPerks for FiberOne, but Nature Valley wasn't clipped on the print out I brought with me.
The cashier barked at me, "You cannot use both - now you need to respond on the screen which one you want to use." The problem was the coupon was good for either Fiber One or Nature Valley and I could not tell or see if the register had deducted anything. I tried a coupon just for Nature Valley since this was supposedly not clipped on mPerks and the same thing happened. This time she was so pissy, I thought she was going to call me stupid. She said disdainfully while visibly shaking her head, "I already said you cannot clip both and I know this has already been deducted! Donna W. - there's no need to treat customers like that!
