Elkin Vine Line — Local services in Elkin

Just wanted to drop you a note about how great a job Bill did as our tour guide on the Gold route a few days ago. Bill was incredible and exceptional! We had never been to Elkin and didn't know anything about the area. We don't know a whole lot about wines, either; just came for a weekend away from home to relax and try something new.

Here are just a few of the exceptional things Bill did, that we considered about and beyond':1) He took us by a local restaurant we would've never tried on our own that turned out to be exceptional. 2) He helped us understand the area with stories and fun information. 3) He explained about tobacco farms in the area and how that influenced wine production. 4) He told us (and we believe him( that he loved his job 5) He reminded us we had purchases in the back when we left (we would've forgotten by then :) 6) One of the sites was closed for a wedding, but Bill rerouted, and compensated, and make the entire experience a lot of fun 7) Bill was extremely careful about safety. We don't really drink that much and did not have overindulging problems, but Bill helped us out of the van over and over agin--just to be sure. 8) Bill was on time, every time--picking us up; at each location. 9) This was a Friday, kind of an off-day and Bill could hav4e just phoned it in, but he made the trip for usWe suggest that you hang on to Bill as long as he's willing to do the job and give him a raise or an employee award or something. We have told all our friends about the wineries we visited. But nothing will do more for your business with our friends than knowing they might get Bill...

This was our first trip to the Yadkin Valley and the Vine Line really made it enjoyable. All of our interactions with the company were professional, helpful and pleasant. Their website was easy to use and book. I had a couple of questions, and called the company. They answered them promptly and cheerfully. Not a given in this day and time.

The Vine Line picked us up at our rental house right on time for the Green Line tour. Chad was a wonderful host for the day, sharing insights and recommendations. He was very knowledgeable about the wineries in the area. For example, a member of our tour was looking for a particular type of wine. He knew which winery was most likely to have it. We learned so much more about the area by taking the tour instead of exploring on our own.

Chad always wanted to make sure we were comfortable offering bottles of water and snacks. The van was very clean, comfortable and roomy. There were boxes in the back for our purchases which kept the seating areas clear of clutter! Next time we visit the Yadkin Valley, we will book a tour on the Purple line. 10/10 highly recommend!!!! My friend and I loved them so much we scheduled a 2nd trip the next day. Lunch reservations were scheduled for us. We were able to visit a variety of vineyards with lots of great wine choices. If you would like dinner reservations for after the tour the Elkin vine line will also make those for you. Mr. Denny, the owner was our driver on Friday and we absolutely loved him. I would recommend going on a Friday because the wineries are not as busy so you get a more personable experience. Mike drove us on Saturday and was also a great tour guide. Mr. Denny is very knowledgeable of the area and history and can make awesome recommendations for any of your needs. We loved the purple line, Roaring River Vineyard & Winery is top of the line. Elkin vine line also stores all of your items that your purchase in its own personal box.
