Royalls BBQ & Grill — Restaurant in Elkin

I have eaten in twice and tonight we got to go food. I was served in the restaurant by two great male waiters who were both friendly, both excellent servers who were patient with all of our orders even when it was busy. What really blew me away was our to-go order tonight, Courtney packed our order and literally sent us home with any and everything we could need. Courtney seriously packed one of the best orders we have ever gotten, it was super refreshing to see her appreciate her job and be so interested in doing it correctly. She explained everything well and we truly couldn’t have been happier. Everyone invited us in when we got there and our order was beyond perfect. When we got home our food was hot, boxed perfectly and honestly tasted just as good as eating in. The good service is really hard to find and although the food is fantastic they really also seem to have a great staff. My wife and I went for lunch on like maybe the 4th day they have been open and Royall's did NOT disappoint!

They were open 12-3 on the Sunday we went. We walked right in to a beautiful restaurant that was very cozy and open. We were seated promptly and did not have to wait long to get a waitress to get our drinks and order.

Both the wife and I ordered the brisket platter. I got the potato salad (AMAZING), and baked beans. Wife got fries and macaroni. All the sides were perfect.

The hush puppies were on point. Warm and sweet with just the perfect amount of exterior crunch. Highly recommend.

We felt like the portions reflected the price. We were stuffed when we left LOL.

This place is so relaxed and friendly, even for me a solo diner! The whole staff was amazing! I had the wheat mango beer, which on one of the hottest days, was cold, light and so refreshing! I couldn’t get past the appetizers this first time around,.. so I had the smoked wings, amazing! The Gouda Mac and cheese bites, which I’m not typically a fan of because I find them too full of noodle and not enough cheese, Not the case here… so Gouda!!!! Had the cheese and jalapeño sausage as a side piece… I’d order by the case to have on hand personally, for snacking, entertaining and BBQs. And I also tried the southwestern egg rolls…honestly not the best I’ve had but I’m a sucker for them! I’d order again, so still pretty good. I ordered banana pudding to go, but too stuffed to eat tonight. I’ll be back to try...
