I stopped by today and left deeply disappointed. We've been trying to spice up meal time with new and different foods, in fact I was in the shopping center because of the Ethiopian restaurant (which seems to have closed). The owner followed me around while I browsed, pretending to tidy up displays. When I made a note on my phone about an unfamiliar food, he reproached me, "No pictures." When I tried to explain to him that I wasn't taking a picture, just making notes, he didn't want to hear it. I then asked if I could buy something, he said "No." So at that point, surprised and embarrassed, I left. I don't know if there was a language barrier but I really don't understand what the owner was so suspicious of me for, I was just trying to learn about Turkish food and culture.
