So much fun! I wasn't sure what to expect when I drove up. It's a little dark driving up at the end of a strip mall where most of the other stores are gone. The store itself was well-lit, as was its parking lot. It reminded me of Grandpa Pigeons as it was going out of business. There was a little bit of this and that everywhere to please everyone who may want to do shopping for everyone on their list at once. Let's be honest seeing orange stickers while shopping just makes you feel so much better about having to spend your money because you know you're getting something for so much cheaper than it costs elsewhere. Ahhhh! They had the normal things you'd think you'd find at a bargain place candles pillows candy but they had aisles of real hardware & tools. Not talking about a hammer I'm telling you there were doorknobs with locks & some with deadbolts or only deadbolts with many options of styles& finishes. Ok ik I sound too excited about all these doorknobs & keys but they were 8.99! I just priced them last week for 249.00. So shut the front door! (ok ok #cringtastic, but when do you ever get to actually say that?) Before I lose you completely name name-brand speakers curling irons toys pots pans air fryers candy chips a whole pet section including trees for your kitties & a whole corner dedicated to books! Much much more. & the friendliest staff ever! My cashier was this man who actually cared & interested in what we had to say&told us about the rewards program so in 72 hours I get 15% off & an actual card to put in my wallet. I hate looking up stuff on my phone that's always dead for other stores to scan. Of course Ollie's will still take your phone number at checkout if you don't feel like getting your card out, but just the extra touches make me like places more. BTW they had those stuffed doorway draft blockers that no one else seems to know what you're talking about much less have in 20 years. &the 3 kitties opened their toys on a stick & stockings that were only 5.00 with 25%and love them! Even the one-cat who doesn't have any interest in playing with a laser which made us question his sight played with a crinkly toy. I've been rolling balls with bells& throwing mice with catnip & dangling things on a string & pushing a hard mini-button on the laser for 6 years who knew a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe first time there, I found it to be kinda nice as a surplus shop. They had a good variation of products and fairly good selections. Was organized well kinda like a Walmart, and got a large sampling of foods and goods. These stores are neat, fun stores because you'll never know what all they have, new products arrive all the time. Overall pricing was okay, some things very little matter down, others very reasonable priced. They have done a great job setting it up, from O'fallon it's a bit of a drive, and traffic on Manchester is crazy as always. They have a website and flyers that can give a sample of what they have. Is a very interesting shop and is a good stop to see for yourself. We were satisfied with the store, and being retired is an advantage over the working people as far as timing the drive hours. It's well worth to stop by and see it...
