My experience with Elyria Jewelers has been fantastic! After searching all around Ohio for the perfect engagement ring, I was recommended to EJR Jewelers by a family member. I live in Columbus and during my search I had visited some of top jewelry stores in Ohio (i.e. Tiffany & Co.; The Diamond Cellar, Marlen, etc.) and by far the best experience that I had was with working with EJR. Their shop is not flashy and it is tucked away in a shopping center. At first, I was a bit hesitant but decided to stop by while I was in town for business. This turned out to be one of the best decision that I ever made.

When I first walked in, Bill was behind the counter helping another customer. Still he immediately welcomed me and let me know it would be a few minutes. When he finished, he came around the counter and introduced himself and asked if there was anything in particular I was looking for. I had a very specific ring in mind (rose gold, cathedral setting, a particular diamond weight, and specifics for three C’s). Bill showed me the styles he had available in his shop and I stared to think I was going to have to continue my search; until, he asked if I was open to designing my own ring. Bill then spent the next 90 minutes showing me different styles and began outlining potential design ideas. Due to time, I had to back to Columbus and told Bill I would stop back at a later date.

A few weeks later I called Bill and asked if he had time for me to stop by. To my surprise, he told me he had been working on a design idea since the last time we had spoken (mind you we had not finalized anything nor had we even discussed cost or next steps). Bill went out of his way to design a ring simply in the name of customer service. After arriving at his shop, Bill showed me what he had been working on and I was blown away by the results. Bill literally designed the exact ring I had been searching for and included every detail that I had mention to him. As soon I saw it, I knew that was ring for my fiancé. After tweaking the design, Bill then spent another 2 hours showing me diamonds and helping me match the perfect store to my fiancé’ one of kind engagement ring.

Bill is a once in lifetime jeweler and entire staff at ELR makes you feel like family! Roughly 8 weeks after finalizing the design, my fiancé ring was ready to be picked up. Upon entering the store, the entire staff was excited to see me and truly happy for me. They made me feel like royalty! The weekend after my fiancé said “YES”!!!! We stopped by to see Bill and his staff. Again, they were very happy for the both of us and excited to see the ring on her finger.

I would highly recommend EJR! They have made a lifelong customer in me. I can’t even begin to explain how often my fiancé receives compliments on her ring and how proud that makes me feel. Came to this place looking for a very specific cross necklace that I could not find ANYWHERE. Just a small, minimalist, gold cross with no stones for my girlfriend, which doesn’t seem like it would be as hard to find as it is. Every store I went to (which was about 15 different jewelry stores) either told me they didn’t have it, or told me they could order it in but said it would take about 4 weeks to get it and I needed it before Christmas.

Someone recommended that I try this place and I’m so glad I did. I dealt directly with Bill, the owner of the store, and you can tell he is someone who prides himself in his customer service. He gave me a book full of options and let me pick what I was looking for. I found what I wanted and he told me he could have it by next day. I thought that was a bit of a stretch, but he seemed confident. I thought maybe he was trying to sell me on it, but I gave it a shot because it was a lot faster than anyone else told me. To my surprise I had it next day, exactly as it looked in the book, and I absolutely loved it. 10/10 experience. Everyone there was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive.
