Mr. Hero — Restaurant in Elyria

We went to grab some lunch today and was sorely dissapointed in the service. Cashier was pleasant. Ordered a few meals and waited for them to finish cooking. The soda machine was not working properly and we let the employees know. It took 10-15 minutes to get someone to change CO2 cartridges for the machine. Fed up with the amount of time it was taking we just wanted a refund for the drinks. When we were told by one of the employees that "it wasn't her shift and she wasn't going to do that." Two out of the three employees were fine. But that last one left a bad taste in our mouths. We love the food, it was great, but the customer service was poor at best. We will just drive 15 min more to go to a decent Mr. Hero. And I suggest others...

Drown me in cheese sauce baby and bury me in thinly sliced steak meat. Who ever thought the waffle fry would find a place in our modern society? Obviously no other chain is bold enough to adopt the peculiar potato grid as their hallmark side item, but who else could we trust to do it as well as them? If Mr. Hero doesn't yet have a mascot (which I have so far seen no evidence of one yet existing) then this is a call out for them to contact me for the opportunity of a lifetime. The Hero Wizard is waiting, tucked away in the shadows for his time to save the world from mediocre sandwiches and soggy flop fries. I stopped into this Mr Hero location the other day at 8:40 which is 20 minutes before they close. I waited at the counter for about 5 minutes, at which point one of the employees had asked if I place my order. I said no to which he replied " oh well we close soon". I told him that I had been waiting for 5 minutes and asked don't you close at 9:00? To which he said "yeah but we need to clean our grill". So to clarify, it was 15 minutes till I've been waiting in line for 5 minutes and even though you're not closed yet you're not making any food?! Not sure if this is a covid thing or just because they're younger kids working at these restaurants, but what happened to old fashioned...
