Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Elyria

Avoid this place at all costs!! Terrible service continues at Charley's in Elyria after giving them another chance. Since their opening in Elyria we've had our orders messed up time and time again. Today was treated extremely poorly by their employees and especially Brandon who stated he is the store manager. Placed an order for 1 combo (fries and drink) and another sandwich. Upon getting home there were no fries in the bag or in the box with the sandwich. Went back with the sandwiches and explained we were missing the fries from the order and asked also if they could remake the sandwiches because by the time I would get back with the complete order it would not be fresh and would be cold. Brandon told the girl at the counter that he isn't remaking cold sandwiches because "its 31 degrees outside and what does he expect?" I again explained that I am requesting my order remade because I did not get the fries and by the time I get the complete order my food will be cold. Another employee behind the counter admitted it was his mistake he left the fries sitting here. I said it wasn't my fault and he agreed. They prepared and order of fries and placed them in the bag with the initial sandwiches and gave it to me. I said those were the now cold sandwiches and I've asked if they could remake them. The girl behind the counter said they can't do that cause they aren't wrong. I explained the order was in fact wrong - they left out items from my order - everyone heard the employee say it was his fault! Then that employee said it wasn't his fault - I asked for the manager and the girl behind the counter pointed at Brandon. Brandon kept saying he couldn't hear me because of a bread machine which required me to shout loudly in the store. He continued to refuse to remake the sandwiches.

I said that I just overheard him saying they wanted to make sure a phone order was made fresh and explained he is concerned about making orders fresh but he wants me to eat cold sandwiches?

He said he doesn't want me to eat cold sandwiches.

I said OK well that's what you are giving me.

He said his job as a manager is to make sure I am satisfied as a customer and he has done all he can do.

I said no he hasn't. I am not satisfied with this order and am asking for the order to be remade.

I asked then for a refund because I am no longer satisfied with this entire order, which he also refused to provide.

The other employee behind the counter who admitted it was his fault he didn't put the fries in the bag then shouted at me if "I don't like it I can leave."

Brandon then put my bag/order on their kitchen counter. I assumed he was remaking the order fresh. I waited about 3-5 minutes then asked the girl behind the counter what exactly am I waiting for now. She said "we are waiting for you to leave."

I asked if they are not going to give me anything then at all and just tell me to leave without giving me my food or a refund. She went and got the back an gave me to me - which at that point I left and immediately came home to write this review.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. After reading some of these reviews it is clear they are good for these kinds of issues. People should avoid this location...

Awsome place the people that work there are just as awesome very friendly and extremely helpful I love how they go out of their way for you not to mention the place is kept up very nice and clean. I'm sorry but I have to add you guys have somebody work in their an older guy that wears glasses and I think hes Bald or has a receding hair line no offense to only body but he looks foreign just to give a description he is the worst person on Earth to be dealing with the public hes rude treats you like you're ignorant Not to mention he seems like he needs go back to school and learn comprehension skills .Doesn't know how to put food together at all makes the worst sandwiches on Earth to the point I never want to go into that restaurant as long as hes working there he sucks horribly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was there a week earlier on a Sat afternoon, food was wonderful, though kinda pricey. So was happy to go back this evening. First, the girl at the register was rude & very unfriendly..wont mention her name though i should!! After i ordered, there wasn't even a generic "thank you" Nothing!! Maybe they don't teach customer service anymore..sad. I paid for the medium size cheesesteak...the "regular"...but once i got home, discovered it was the small. Called & spoke to the GM who took my name etc...But honestly, the sandwich i had was TERRIBLE!! So dry & even looked awful. Can't believe the difference a week later! I cannot stand places that are not consistent!! 23 bucks for such sub-standard food. No thanks. Won't risk it again...Not for those prices!! I'll stick to Mr. Hero!!
