Meijer — Local services in Emmett Charter Township

I love Meijers, it's my favorite place to shop groceries. Alot of people IK are always like "why would you like Meijer over Walmart??! Walmart is so much more cheaper " Well I've compared my grocery receipts from both Meijer & Walmart, yes Walmart has low prices BUT Meijer has something that Walmart doesn't which is SALES on grocery products. From their 10 for $10 get the 11th one free (which I might add that when you do the 10 for $10 get the 11th item FREE, you get to mix & match from all the items on that list for that week. Which is normally quite a few products not just 5 or 6, but ALOT of different products. Not only that but Walmart's Great Value store brand is definitely not that great. There's been countless times I've bought Great value food items that are straight up disgusting. Like not 1 or 2 things but ALOT of em are very low quality & hard to eat. (1 example is the GV Icecream sandwiches, they taste so gross that not even my children noted that they 'taste weird' so the box of GV icecream sandwiches sat in the freezer for months. Which is highly unusual for my children bc they normally want an icecream sandwich after dinner every night until the box is gone. But when it comes to Meijers store brand, all the products I've bought & tried are of high quality & certainly worth buying bc it's such a great value. All in all, Meijer has the best produce section, best meat products in the deli, and best weekly ad deals. I def save ALOT more $$ at Meijer for each shopping trip & get higher quality foods there. Now, I will admit that products at Meijer aside from food can be more expensive than compared to Walmart but bc they are better made, definitely without a doubt higher quality products and last alot linger then Walmart's. I've bought bra's from both stores and the one from Walmart the underwire came out within 2 weeks or just totally was falling apart. But the one's I bought from Meijer of course lasted me ALOT longer. So, yes they can be more expensive on products that aren't food but more times than not it's bc they are better made. But like what you will, spend your money where ever you'd like but I prefer meijer bc I feel like they are just better all around. Battle creek has two Meijer locations and I like both but the one on Beckley is better in my opinion. The one on Columbia Ave seems to be set up differently then most other meijer locations, & don't carry all the same brands or products that the other Meijers locations do. This Meijers on Beckley is great, they have alot of self check out, and always have alot of their checkouts with cashiers at them open as well, especially during the day & early evening. They always have employees around to help you when you need it, have great customer service. And on this specific trip I came in to return a Championoutfit that was sweatpants & T-shirt that ended up being too big. I lost the receipt but since I used my debit card 2 purchase the item's, they were able to look up the receipt with my card & refunded my money for the return in cash. Good except I lost my ride home , and the people at the front, were well aware of the situation and yet never bothered to bring it to my attention.. Even though they knew I was waiting! Must have not been very customer saevy? And I nor my ride knew until I was on the car; So apparently? She told them. About me and asked to have me paged, Unless I didn't hear them page me , I didn't hear it? Funny thing I was at the front of the store waiting for my friend! She seemed to be gone for an excessively long time , which is uncharacteristic of my friend? So I'm waiting , waiting, waiting, waiting...seemed hours,All of a sudden I heard my name being called , not over the pa but behind me I glance and low and behold it's my friend of 30 years! (Obviously} I know her well! She tells me about how she came into the store gave a description of me, and the "mart cart "I was driving and asked if they had seen me? They said no they had not? Sounds crazy right? Well I told her I didn't hear any page? And I had wondered about her for some time now, thinking maybe she took off with out me? Although I could not have imagined that! So she tells me she got Has been in the car waiting for me for a very very long time... No one had paged me I was sitting about 25ft. Away from both employee's.anyway I was upset to hear tell of the workers who seemed to be very kind, I had spoken to both of them, I told them I was waiting for my ride! That shoulda rang some bells for the 2 of them? But nooo! !! They commented and went about business as usual? Never telling me she had gone to the car to wait for me? What was this about? I wanted to confront both of them as they were clearly not doing their customer service any good deeds. I wonder what makes people tick? ?? So that was my trip so Meijer this...

WöW this Wednesday night Beckley Rd. was loading pallets of stock in the center isles everywhere throughout the store. I felt like I was in the way! But, There was a guy in the beauty/men's products coming out with a pallet of supplies that was different. I wondered if they had an item that was not on their shelf, he was Very Helpful. He took time to check. Thank you to him! On to groceries. I looked in 3 different spots for at cheese withe no luck. Then I asked a man that was doing something else, BUT, he stopped and was Very Helpful! And with going in back, he Found four of the WinSchuler's Bar Cheese (Husband's Happy!), and at the same time another guy was helping me get to the frozen foods before they put on the wax... Pizza and Ice Cream are necessities to life aren't they? ThankYou to them both! You know sometime everything doesn't quite go as planned in our every day lives, but that would not give me the right to be mean to another, Right? Just cause they were out of something, ASK be nice... You're Right! I wasn't ☺️and it made Everyone night hopefully better! TILL I Got to the Check Out! Oh No! There was Only the Self Check and I had a FULL CART! Never Fear... Just ask! Someone will some how figure things out. The Very Nice man that was working the self check area came over to the 12 items line and together we got all the itemed scanned, oh and Double Bagged... Thank You to him Too!
