While we were aware they did not take reservations ... we called as soon as they opened to let them know we would have a party of 14 at a specific time (almost 3 hours after opening). We asked to be seated together as it was a special occasion and people had traveled from long distances and out of state. My husband and I were the only locals there. We were seated in booths back to back, our party split up...while there was room behind us for all of us to be together! We were told it was becsuse they would have had to use an extra table ...meanwhile we had an extra table sat at the booth unused! There were other larger groups there ... even one with 10 people who just walked in the door and were seated together within 10 minutes....we waited 35 to be seated and was asked to wait outside. We were also told that they did not like karge groups because thry oftentimes did not tip well ... little did they know our group did! Awful customer service! Never seen a manager. The waitress was less than polite. We had to ask for plates and silverware after rolls were brought to table and promptly got cold before we received any plates and silverware...then had to ask another waitress for them. Needless to say ...we will not be back to the Battle Creek restaurant! Shame in them for ruining our one evening we get together in over a year! But ... my mistake for thinking customer service...
Read moreMe and my boyfriend and his grammy came in there for a late lunch, it was insanely packed the lady that sat us was kind but our waitress was just rude. It was so loud in there, I could barely hear the people I was sitting across from. His grammy has a bad coke, it was the color of tea, and she asked for another one and complained about it. Our waitress was giving her attitude and telling her nothing was wrong with it, when it was clearly out of syrup in the machine since it was very light colored and had no flavor. Our waitress would also come over and ask how we were and then never refill our drinks we had to physically stop her to get refills, she never took any of our empty plates so our table was so crowded. Right after we got our food she kept coming over and asking if we were good like every 5 mins not giving us any time to actually eat and after 10-15 mins of having our food she asked us if we wanted any boxes, when we had barely gotten time to eat our food because she was hovering.I also left with such an upset stomach, I felt like I was going to puke the entire way home. My boyfriend got the same thing. I also had a friend that went there and got food poisoning on the night of our homecoming dance and...
Read moreI could not give a negative star rating, as I understand that waits can be expected sometimes. After being told there was an estimated wait of one hour and fifty-five minutes, I decided to go home, pass the time for about an hour, and then return. I live in Battle Creek, where Texas Roadhouse is conveniently located just down the road. However, I noticed that the waiting area lacked certain amenities that could have improved the experience, such as televisions to watch while waiting, misting fans to stay cool during hot weather, and complimentary drinks or snacks like chips and dips to pass the time comfortably. Additionally, the restaurant’s website did not provide any disclaimer or estimate regarding the wait time at the time of my reservation, which could have helped manage expectations and avoid frustration. Overall, I found the entire experience to be quite unprofessional due to these shortcomings and lack of transparency. I didn't add a review on the dining experience because after waiting an additional twenty minutes, my family and I chose alternative dining at Applebee’s getting five star rating including a heafty, make my day tip that could have been given to my potential...
