Trying to frame a couple heirloom art pieces. Although I am not a frequent Michaels customer, I decided to stop in to see if I could find what I needed. Purchased a couple frames + mats... Got home and began the project. Not working. Went back to store next day. Explained. Said I needed help. Not sure what kind of help/response I might get. I was in for a pleasant surprise. Terralyn/Framing Mgr went above and beyond guiding me to what I needed in order to frame the items myself. She explained why the frames I purchased were not working with the mats. She also provided me with a problem solving tip on how to make the one mat I especially wanted to use (to frame one of the art pieces) work for me - scissors. Wow! One does not often find such pleasant and such personal service any more! Terralyn was determined to help me solve my problem. She showed me how to make the one frame work with the mat I had. I exchanged the other frame for a new frame that she assured me would work for the larger piece. Well, I finally framed and matted the 2 heirloom items - using her advise. They each turned out GREAT and at a minimal expense to me. THANK YOU Terralyn. THANK YOU Michaels. P.S. As mom trying to raise a respectful teen and teaching her that it is ok to ask for things or help and not just settle, it was nice to see someone not just roll her eyes at teen in the store unlike previous stores we were in that same night.
