Guion's Showcase — Local services in Emporia

Went back to purchase this TV console with a fireplace in the clearance area with price tag listed as $499. On the tag there were two other prices listed that had slashed through them and nothing else. The salesperson came back and pulled out a white sticker of some sort and told us the that the price on the tag was just for the console and that the fireplace was an additional $500. I showed him on the tag that there was nothing that indicated that the console and fireplace were priced separately. The SP said that they had a female employee that had been let go because she had incorrectly priced items. I said to him that I had seen him showing that same unit to another customer two weeks prior when we first visited the store. So he knew at that time that it was not priced correctly. I also told him that it was the store’s responsibility to check all the prices that may have been incorrectly done by the employee. Said that The price tag should be the price of the unit as it stands because there is no disclosure stating they were separate. He went so far to say that the cabinet itself was priced wrong as well. So we left and will never go...

We went to Guion’s to shop for a new bed. We wanted to buy local and get local customer support. Our salesman, Lee Felt, was very polite and professional. He worked with us discussing our sleep needs and patterns. He was very knowledgeable about his product lines and what would work best for our budget and our needs. It was an easy transaction and we were well satisfied having only been the store for less than an hour. Thank you Lee!

The delivery and pickup guys came the next morning. They were clean cut and polite. We tried to make it easy for them so they had a few minutes to wait for us to repair and adjust our frame. They put the new mattress and base in and removed the other. In and out in a short time. Many thanks to the two installers. Everything was delivered new in wrappers and boxes and we were thrilled with the process start to end. We also felt like Guion’s worked with us to get us in a new bed, pillows, and cover within our budget. So glad we shopped locally! Thank you!

Excellent service. It was rainy. I was tired of fixing an old dryer. I started at Guion’s, went to 2 other places and Guion’s by far was the honest reasonable place to go. They were friendly from my first walk-in. I told John I needed a new dryer with a dial. Nothing fancy…don’t need a smart dryer. One place I went took me to the most expensive with my description. John took me to the dial GE. Good price, great service. I went back and paid for it. Picked it up Saturday and had the same excellent service from the pay counter to the load it up guy. He even apologized for not being able to take my call when I returned for a new power supply upon realizing the old one I had wasn’t long enough for the new lower connection spot dryer. They welcomed me back with genuine smiles in the pouring rain! If I could afford new furniture I’d go there first in a heartbeat. Guion’s won me over with their customer service throughout the entire staff there. Well done...
