Went to cricket from at&t because we were told we could bring our phones and they would work. When the man at the desk set up our account, he put in there store address for our address. Not sure why cricket wouldn't accept our address? Once our s7's were switched over, and after a couple hours in tech support, we found out that we needed a cricket phone for the wifi calling to work. So, we ordered s9's from cricket online. $550 each. And when they came in, we brought them to cricket store in esky to get transferred over. The woman that attempted to set my phone up had it so screwed up that I had to factory reset it and do it myself. My wife had better luck there, but mine was a mess. After doing it myself and being successful, I was feeling better until I found out that you cannot send picture messages over wifi. WHATS NEXT I thought. Fast forward 10 months and charging port on phone stops working. Go to this store to get some assistance with warranty and was told I have to take care of it myself. Even the info they gave me was not totally correct. So, I went home to make a claim and they will not accept it online because my address on my account is not the same. Tells me to change address online but there is no edit button to do so. ONCE AGAIN, this store rendered useless at helping. My wife went down twice and said 2 agents were helping one person and they basically told her to leave and come back later. She told the lady that all she wanted to do was change our address. You know, the thing they screwed up as I was becoming a customer. You just can't make this stuff up. I believe I am going back to Verizon or at&t. Probably Verizon because there service is much better in upper peninsula. I tried to save some money but more expensive and frustrating in the long run. What is the reason for a brick and mortar store, if the only thing they do is make things more difficult or...
Read moreI'm not one to review, but this definitely needed a shout out after a long day the representative had at the Escanaba location.
Apparently they were having computer issues earlier in the day and the issue I walked in with was the cherry on top, so to speak.
Lynsey was willing to spend over an hour on Straight Talks port line to try and port a Straight Talk phone number over.... without the phone. I had tried to have all the information set prior to arriving, but Straight Talk failed to give me the port pin, and told me the pin I set up was "good enough". We all had a good laugh with the patient customers since one computer was down at the time.
Needless to say, she's an asset to Cricket Wireless. I wish representatives were able to accept tips. She deserved one after today (4/15).
Another reason I'll be sticking with Cricket until Cricket crashes. Shouldn't happen!
Straight Talk needs to step up, but I won't know, I'm never dealing...
Read moreI came in tonight needing a new phone as mine I've had for four years stopped taking a charge. I forgot to get his name, but the tall guy with glasses was the only one working and was SO helpful. He was able to switch back and forth between helping me, and helping others. And was very patent with my kids (one of which was having a hard time) and answered any and all of their questions. It was taking an unusually long time to transfer my data over the Cricket Stores Wifi, and he was kind enough to use HIS OWN HOTSPOT to finish setting up my phone. Corporate definitely needs to fix their Wi-Fi issue at this location but their employee went the extra mile to make sure he could finish my transfers and set-ups. He said he starts a new job soon, best of luck!
Overall very happy with crickets prices and coverage. They are the most reliable cell provider in...
