3rd time strike-out. Mediocre at best, yet could satisfy, but comes up short. I enjoy oriental buffets. This is on the low end of offerings, quality, and freshness. Although the offerings are limited in variety the quality was poor and ill-prepared. Overpriced beverages and buffet for the limited menu items. The dated dining hall was immaculately clean. I often saw dinner hour replenishments come from the kitchen then mixed into the remains of the lunch batch. When asked about the former dishes, omitted now, from the steam tables I was smiled at and ignored by staff. My recent visit was out of desperation: their Thai Take-Away competitor closed due to the pandemic, and their Korean Diner closed for the same reason. This is the only oriental place in town...and it under served. One time, back at strike 1, a family group arrived at for lunch. It was disappointing but we did not mind that. But when given our bill, we were charged twice: once for lunch buffet on our first plate and once for dinner buffet on the second plate. We unknowingly arrived at the cross-over time. We offered to pay at the higher dinner price for the same foods but the management insistence on the double charge. None of the other family members will return to this place. And after this 3rd strike,...
Read moreIf you're a fan of Hong Kong Buffet, you're definitely not alone in your love for their delicious offerings! I’ve been going there every day for the past few weeks, and it’s always a treat. The General Tso's chicken is perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of heat and sweetness. The lo mein is always cooked just right, with a great balance of flavors and texture. And the crab rangoons? Simply unbeatable—crispy on the outside, creamy and flavorful on the inside.
It’s the kind of place where you know exactly what to expect—consistently good food and a satisfying meal every time. My only gripe? They're closed on Mondays, which is just plain inconvenient! When you're craving their amazing buffet, it can feel like the week just doesn’t start right without it. But, that minor setback aside, Hong Kong Buffet is definitely a spot worth...
Read moreFood was mediocre at best. Mongolian BBQ was skimpy and the meats were very fatty. Could hardly read the descriptions on the sauces. General Tso sauce didn't taste right at all and was very watery. Almost had a sweet and sour sauce taste to it. All of the chicken dishes in the buffet used dark meat and fat vs quality cuts. Even the sweet and sour chicken was darkish meat(supposed to be all white meat) The dining area is very worn and the chairs are very uncomfortable. Staff was friendly, food was hot and the price was reasonable. Crab rangoons were very good and packed full of cream cheese. I think if they had some competition in town they would up their game. Until...
