Elmer's is a phenomenal market! I tend to use their home delivery, as I don't have much chance to get out as much as I used to. Fortunately, they have folks available to pick out your groceries for you and bring them straight to your home! And, the delivery fee is even pretty reasonable! When our items are brought to us, the staff we meet are always warm and friendly; and even helpful (they literally bring the bags right to the door!)
They have a great selection of items from fresh to canned ingredients, to household supplies, to deli and bakery foods, and everything in-between!
There have been a couple of orders where things have been forgotten. I don't get upset about these things. The staff is busy, and their delivery folks are always on the move; so these things can and do generally happen. The couple of times I've had to call for forgotten or missing items, they've been outstanding in both response and redelivery of the missing items! Some of you may wonder: "Well, if they forget things, why are you still giving them 5 stars?" Because, Dear Reader, this is a store that works with integrity. And, for that, they will ALWAYS retain...
Read moreI love Elmer's. I will shop there rather than Meijer or Wal-Mart, when I am in town. They are friendly, and have an amazing amount of EVERYTHING. They carry a strange but wonderful mixture of store-brand, discount-quality items shelved together with really high-end stuff, so you get a lot of choices (except sauerkraut!) The produce is really good, and so are the meats. I love how you hear moo-ing when you open the milk cooler and clucking when you open the egg cooler. My one disappointment is that the Beer Cave has really gone downhill in quality and interesting selections over the past year. They no longer stock my favorite brands of brew -- Stroh's Bohemian Pilsner and Altes Lager, both out of Detroit. I know you can't carry everything, but It would be great if you could get creative again in the beer dept. The Upper Hand stuff really isn't that good....
Read moreBetter quality products than some other places, provides that local store experience that people no longer get with the corporate stores like Walmart or Meijers. Availability of product has been good during COVID, not as many bare shelves as the larger stores. More personalized staff experience as the store IS local and family owned. However the bad points are that the prices, in most cases have gotten EXTREMELY HIGH compared to other places. You get some good deals sometimes but been increasingly harder to shop there when on a budget. Also, they closed the pharmacy, leaving only Walmart, Walgreens or Meijers which all EXTREMELY SUCK as pharmacies!! Elmer's had the BEST pharmacy in town and was the BEST grocery store/deli/bakery...it has the best of everything!!! Now, it's just not anymore!!! Still many good qualities, but NOTHING like what it...
