Bouchard-Pierce provided both our appliances and the cabinets for our kitchen remodel.

Tom Pierce was our appliance salesman and was very knowledgeable about the overall appliance environment and warned us that our preferred refrigerator brand had had a compressor problem that may or may not have been fixed and that there was a class action suit against the company for that reason. He helped us decide on all of the appliances. We purchased the appliances during a holiday sale and got competitive prices with respect to the big boxes and were not constrained to stick with one manufacturer. For B-P, the warranty period does not start until they are installed and B-P warehoused them until it was time for the installation. Although the B-P installation cost may seem a little high, one definitely wants to have B-P install the appliances. If there are any scratches or dings on the doors or frames as they are installing, they note it and order new doors or frames. We are talking relatively minor dings and scratches here and on one door neither my wife nor I had even noticed the imperfection but they ordered a new door. It has been a most impressive and gratifying experience. We are delighted with our finished kitchen and are extremely pleased that B-P is willing to deliver a ‘perfect’ product. Obviously, I highly recommend B-P appliances.

Michelle Lonerwright was our cabinet designer and she did an outstanding job. We had a starting point design but she took it and significantly improved it. We were very active in the design phase but she did not complain. She made her recommendations but was not dogmatic in our acceptance of her suggestions. Most of her suggestions we did incorporate and many make a big improvement in our kitchen both in terms of appearance and function. We had discussed and agreed upon a certain cabinet for the corner with Michelle but my wife and I both missed the fact that it did not show up in the final drawing. Michelle stood behind our intent even though we had signed off on something else. One drawer had a protrusion where the installers had incorrectly drilled for the handle. It was a bit rough but mostly hidden by the handle. Because damage included the box itself, B-P replaced the entire drawer. We also purchased the countertop through B-P and Michelle was the interface for that. Without her expert help, clout with the countertop maker, and willingness to spend extra time with the manufacturer’s rep, we would not have ended up with the countertop we wanted. We are delighted with our finished kitchen. Obviously, we highly recommend B-P cabinetry...

I actually love Bouchard Pierce and have used them for years for kitchen and laundry appliances. Their appliance department is excellent as is their service department. However, I chose the wrong kitchen designer (there are two )and had several major design flaws on a kitchen renovation. Please read the reviews and choose your kitchen, designer carefully. The most important flaw in the design of our kitchen was a cabinet was designed for a new refrigerator, which did not allow the refrigerator doors to open. Communication was poor and an understanding of the issues involved in kitchen design was terrible. The cabinets themselves are beautiful and very well-made. Be careful in your choice of designer. But I would wholeheartedly endorse them for the cabinets themselves and for their Appliance department. Lastly, once the design flaws were brought to the attention of the designer, there was a very unsatisfactory attempt to resolve the issues and a lot of finger pointing towards other departments for the errors. I am living with a fridge that I have to pull out in order to open the doors because of the design of the cabinet. Once again, the only caution is the choice of designer. I would have been fine if I felt there was a sincere and genuine attempt to resolve the design flaws, but that was not the case here. Blame was deflected towards other people instead of the designer. Use them for cabinets, use them for appliances, but be very cautious in your choice...

We purchased a 42" subzero classic refrigerator that has had a lot of problems. Initially their service department helped to solve the minor problems like water not working but at a VERY slow speed. If it's not an emergency, they schedule you out months and take several trips, each that are spaced by weeks if not months.

Recently the dreaded service beep kicked back on but this time the refrigerator stopped cooling! Obviously the main point of this very expensive fridge. I called their service department back and the first thing they said was oh looks like you are out of warranty! 3.5 years old? Subzero says limited lifetime warranty with a complete 5 year of the compressor system...

After I mentioned this, they said oh well we don't even work on compressor systems. So if you buy a fridge from them and it stops working, their service department won't help you! What's the point of being a certified repair center then?

They at least gave me a number for another local company that may actually be useful.

Their cabinets are very nice, however. Great quality, but you have to double check every design detail from the designer as they got a few pretty big details wrong that we ended up just...
