Asian Mart — Local services in Essex Junction

My husband and I visited Asia Mart earlier this week. We actually went to 4 different Asian markets in the area that afternoon, checking them all out, seeing who carried what and where, etc. Out of the 4 shops we went to, Asia Mart was the clear over-all winner. Their store was clean, well-lit, and the man at the counter smiled and was both friendly and welcoming. No one seemed to mind that we walked the aisles for quite a while but only purchased 2 items, and no one watched us or made us feel uncomfortable. This store carried the black sweet rice we had previously been purchasing online, and for a MUCH better price. Although one of the other Asian markets also carried the rice (at a great price as well), the store atmosphere, location, and customer service at Asia Mart was so much better than the other shops that we will be happy to give them our business long-term. The gentleman at the counter also let us know he would be happy to bring in other products if we were looking for them but didn't see them on the shelf. Fantastic to offer this! Also, side note, but we loved to see this man's family there at the store that day; there was an energetic little girl that made us laugh with her serious exclamation, "I've found my long lost pen!". Great experience overall...

I have been going to this store for years. I was a bit worried when the new owners took over earlier this year. However, they are fantastic! And their produce is the best, I won't go anywhere else for my produce. They offer the freshest and are reasonably priced. The new owners are always friendly and welcoming. If there is something they do not offer simply ask them and they will make every effort to get it. Most recently artichokes, yum! I only eat plant based food, which can be expensive and going to chain stores most of their produce is horrible. Here at Everest Asian Market, every thing is fresh each week. They offer a variety of produce, Avocados, spinach, mango, okra, cucumbers, squash, potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, lemon grass.....and fresh herbs, I buy cilantro and dill fresh every week! Oh they also offer so much more. Come see for yourself~ I can't say enough about them! So proud to have them right here in my town! ~dmb So happy that they...

Clean, well kept store with all the goods you need and many you didn't you need! I walked in with high hopes and they were well met. Many different products from candies(they had my favorite lychee candies), spices and herbs, some house hold goods, and general shopping (ex. Hiyashi chūka for lunches this week so I needed soba noodles and seaweed, and they were both very competitively priced). Their produce is BEAUTIFUL - brightly colored with no blemishes.

The woman working (I believe one of the owners) helped out the couple in front of me and let them know about ordering items, etc. and was very polite and knowledgeable. I have already told my fiancé how excited I am to come here more and expand our recipes (Vietnamese? Thai? What next?!). Thank you for this wonderful...
