Essex Indoor Golf Center — Local services in Essex

I was looking for somewhere to have my 11 year old's birthday and several friends suggested Essex Indoor Golf. We planned to play mini golf and had no idea where to begin or how it worked. The staff member was very nice, but he was new and wasn't sure how the mini golf worked either. Together we were able to figure it out and the kids had a great time! We got a little too optimistic thinking the 5 kids could finish a whole mini golf course in 1 hour, we only made it about half way, but everyone really enjoyed themselves once they figured out how to play virtually! There were tables and chairs just outside the bay, that we used to have a little party snack and afterwards we used the couch and chairs to open gifts. I’ve been to a few indoor golf facilities from Stamford to Newport, and this is by far the best! It’s spacious, clean, great bar setup, entertainment/tv set up, and follow covid19 protocols. All of which are very important especially in the golf industry where some people don’t care.

The technology is top notch and VERY accurate. The one “improvement” i’d recommend is they allow an option to skip putting. I find that inaccurate in every facility and nothing you can do about it. Right now it’s just 12 ft gimmes. Plus this would get more holes in and more fun on the course!

I was supposed to play Guilford Lakes this past weekend, but got rained out. Still determined to get some swings in, I came across Essex Indoor Golf Center. Booking a reservation online was quick and easy. When I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff who got the simulator set up right away.

The simulator itself was one of the better ones I've used—accurate, responsive, and with a great selection of courses to choose from. The environment was clean, comfortable, and perfect for solo practice or a relaxed round with friends. I appreciated how well-maintained everything was and how seamless the overall experience felt.
