River Road 2nd Hand LLC — Local services in Eugene

My family in Eugene just used this company to assist in cleaning out my uncle's home up there. I couldn't say enough about why you should absolutely NOT use this company! They paid absolutely pennies on the dollar for items unopened and brand new. It became a joke that EVERYTHING was valued at 5.00. WORST Of all, they destroyed a wood floor moving out a bookcase. A 7 to 8 foot long scratch across the floor. There was a witness, and the owners claim our family paid him to lie. What business handles problems this way??? I am appalled! They take advantage of people who are in despair due to a family death. They come in, clean out a person's life for pennies, knowing full well that it's a difficult experience to go through emotionally and they just want to get it done. Then to destroy property with no concern, and to say the witness at the event was paid to lie???? What reputable business behaves...

I'm super impressed with this thrift shop. Every time I go in here I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality of the second hand items they sell. I'm not a big thrift store person, a lot of it looks like trash to me and I don't understand why people would pay $500 for an ugly beat up table like they sell at St. Vinnie's or Goodwill or whatever. But here the furniture and other items actually look really nice and you can tell they are very selective about what they take. Someone here has a good eye for quality and yet the prices are pretty reasonable (not dirt cheap by any means, but reasonable). The people who work here are friendly too and don't stare at you or make you feel pressured...

I Love River Road 2nd hand and have been shopping here for many years. A great locally owned family business with a nice variety of quality items for very cheap prices. They don't just buy whatever and place it in the store, they hand pick everything they sell. The items are a good quality, clean and a fraction of buying new.
