Honestly, the dealership as a whole was a great experience, everyone that I interacted with was great. Except the one person who kind of matters the most. The salesman. Guy P was my salesman, and while initially he started off friendly enough, he became fairly condescending throughout the visit. I had done a lot of research on campers, and knew exactly what I was looking for when I came into the dealership. I just needed to see that the camper looked the same in person as it did online. It did for the most part (it was used) but there was some significant damage to the upholstery on the couch that was not very well pictured online. The dealership charges a mandatory inspection fee, which I appreciate them going over the camper and everything but I still think is bullshit that they’re charging for an inspection that they’re preforming before they’re even making a sale(so even if you wanted to do something off the wall and say you didn’t want it, you quite literally can’t because it’s already been done) - don’t get me wrong it does come with a helpful bucket of goodies but it still feels a little predatory. Also, don’t you inspect these campers when you buy used ones to price them?
When it came time to finalize the sale: I attempted to tell Guy multiple times that I was not happy with the out the door cost, and that I would not be purchasing the camper and he continued to ignore me and fill out the paperwork and push me to sign it, and it took me several times of telling him no before he even attempted to ask about lowering the price. He just kept pushing about how this camper was going to sell quick, and it almost sold earlier on in the last week or two but the sale fell thru (this is important later on)
When it came to financing- I had already called my own credit union that I knew I would get good rates thru, because I wanted to be sure that I could get a loan on a camper that was several years older. I had pre-approval. This is where Guy, once again, was frustrating to work with. He repeatedly kept telling me that there was no way I was approved for the loan amount without a huge downpayment and that no banks would give a loan a camper this age for the full amount because “they don’t see the same value in it.” (He kept trying to push me into a newer travel trailer that was more expensive that dealership could finance for a longer term) After stating that I didn’t want a travel trailer, he asked in a very snippy tone “well why not?” And then cut me off and just said “because you don’t want one” at this point, the fact that this camper being exactly what I was looking for was the only thing that had saved the sale because I was pretty well over it.
The next day/finalizing paperwork: Guy did call me and tell me that he was wrong about the bank requiring the downpayment HOWEVER. It was a very backhanded approach because he followed it up with “sometimes when it’s your own bank they’re willing to forge the numbers a little bit to make the camper seem worth it, so that’s probably what happened” like excuse me? That’s fraud. Again, arriving at the dealership everyone was extremely bright and welcoming. I sat down with the finance manager to sign the papers for it, and he was going over damages/general maintenance that they found in their inspections, when he let it slip that the last time someone had seriously looked at this camper to purchase it was over a month ago after Guy had told me the day before that there was no way that any prices could be lowered because it was a very popular camper and almost sold within the last two weeks. After signing papers you go into the shop where the techs run thru everything and make sure you know how to work it, extremely handy if you’ve never been in an rv or if you need a refresher/specifics to your camper.
TL/DR: overall good experience at the dealership. Just felt like I was dealing with your typical salesman and as a younger woman, it always seems like you’re fighting an uphill battle instead of being listened to. After the initial interaction everyone...

UPDATE: Byerly's reply is libel. Offering an RV for rent did not cause the repairs noted in this review. Items listed predated rental activity. You can't rent what won't run. Undisclosed damage is deception. Buyers beware.
Before deciding to give your business to Byerly RV, weigh the negative reviews just as carefully as the positive ones. Byerly has cultivated a reputation for treating customers like family, which was a significant factor in my decision to purchase a lightly used Class B RV from them this past August. Trusting those glowing testimonials, I felt confident that I would experience the same level of care and professionalism. However, the reality did not meet those expectations.
I scheduled an appointment a week in advance to view the RV. The team assured me that the vehicle would be cleaned and prepared for my visit. Yet, upon arrival, it was clear that prep had only just begun.
The salesman assured me that all the vehicle's systems were undergoing a thorough inspection to ensure everything would be in perfect working order. Attention was given to the generator, which reportedly wasn’t starting.
Damage to the hood was deliberately obscured and misrepresented as oxidization, when in fact, there was structural damage and a hole the size of my fist. The dealer refused to adjust the price for “cosmetics”.
When negotiations were finalized, my husband and I made the 4 ½ hour drive back to the dealer to take delivery. The tech assured me they would take care of repairs that still hadn’t been completed before we left that day.
After more negotiation and repairs, we left the dealership and made our way to stay at a campground between the dealership and home. By the time we left the campground the next morning and got most of the way home, it became clear something was very wrong. The A/C compressor failed. Byerly’s warranty states they would cover repair costs if you drive it back to their dealership for them to do the work. Since it was already in a mechanic’s shop 300 miles away, they offered to reimburse for the parts and I must cover the labor. $1,300 cost to us.
Soon it became clear that those systems they said they were going over diligently were not so carefully attended to. Found in the time shortly after driving it off the lot:
The water pump’s pre-filter clogged with mold from the fresh water holding tank. After flushing the tank repeatedly and sanitizing it per the manufacturer’s instructions, the pump pre-filter is still clogging with a strange substance, but when reaching out to the service department and sending photos so they could help us identify the problem, they put us off saying they have to show the photos to someone else and he/she would call us back to help. Now that we have reached out to them several times for help and being deferred to someone who doesn’t call us back, we’re seeing the pattern. The windshield wiper fluid emitters failed. All 5 chassis infotainment center speakers and the two outdoor speakers were blown. The propane lines had a leak and the regulator was shot. The batteries they replaced in the coach are the wrong type. The roof had a significant leak. The aforementioned A/C compressor, and The generator still has an intermittent starting problem.
Repairs to date: $8,778.33. And we have not yet diagnosed the generator’s starter issue or the gunk in the freshwater holding tank that is still clogging the pre-filter, nor replaced the two improperly specified house batteries which are now dead.
Byerly RV’s assurances of a thorough inspection process were not upheld, leaving us with significant expenses. This highlights a lack of accountability. Their unresponsiveness to requests for help illustrate an attitude incongruent with their “treat you like family” claims. Our experience serves as a strong caution against doing...
Read moreI originally went up to Byerly to look at a specific camper just to get ideas for a future purchase. This is where I met Don C. who graciously accompanied us to the camper and allowed us plenty of time to inspect the vehicle at our leisure. Don asked a lot of the right questions and helped us identify what would be best for our needs. Fast forward a couple weeks and after another thorough inspection, we decided to go ahead to move forward with the camper we originally looked at. Don was very accommodating and happy to help offer us peace of mind by giving us time and space to make sure this was really the right decision.
We were then referred to Brett and Michelle for financing and paperwork. These two really helped make the purchase seamless with a no BS breakdown of the final out the door price and financing options/amount financed. Once we finalized the paperwork, we were then passed to Abby, who took us to begin delivery.
Abby explained the delivery process and prepared us for what to expect next, which was a final walkthrough and complete breakdown of our new RV with Debbie.
Debbie walked us through every nook and cranny of the RV and gave us detailed explanation and demonstration how everything worked on the camper from the hitch all the way to the back bumper. Debbie was incredibly thorough and took the time to answer any questions we had along the way. They also had the RV completely inspected, cleaned, made repairs that we asked for, as well as identified anything else that we may have missed. I felt confident that this team was looking out for our safety and best interest before pulling our RV off the lot. I couldn't have felt more secure when we finally did!
Before we left though, Abbey took us to see Justin in parts where we had a $100 credit to purchase whatever we needed to get started with our new RV. This was a pleasant surprise as a lot of new RV owners do not consider the extras one needs that do not come with the standard RV purchase. Items such as chocks, sewer hoses, water hoses, power supply, filters, the list goes on. I already had several of these items and I was able to put my credit towards a top of the line power supply. This was really comforting as these items are very expensive, but crucial to protecting your investment.
Finally, Abby took us back for one last visit with Debbie, who walked us through the final steps of hooking up the RV to the weight distribution hitch and ensuring that our brake controller was working correctly. From there, we pulled out, double checked our connections, made sure our lights worked, made sure the brakes were working, and they sent us on our way!
Top notch experience from start to finish. Highly recommend going to see Byerly if you want peace of mind that you're going to get quality service and drive a camper off the lot in...
