Just like Most Bread Co.'s around, this one is fairly busy. Busy can be good though! If you want your food quick, they can do it, no problem. However, their order accuracy can degrade depending on how busy it is. So if you decide to go by the drive thru during the lunch rush, you might as well play Russian Roulette.
The dining room has great atmosphere! Peaceful Jazz music playing, a fireplace for the winter time, soft booths and chairs, and great art work of bread and local artists. Many different members of the community use it as a place to eat, meet-up, study, read a newspaper, and enjoy the sun through the large windows that make up one side of the building. The only majorly noticeable problem that the dining room has is that it tends to be fairly messy, especially after the meal rushes. Again, this is a very busy restaurant and i know that they try their best to keep things clean and orderly but there is only so much Order that a person can maintain in Chaos.
Don't get me wrong, this is one of the better Bread Co.'s that I've been to in the area. I've had the chance to work for the Panera company for a grand total of 2 years as a teenager and an adult at two different stores. One in Hackettstown, NJ and the one here in Eureka. With this experience under my belt, i can confidently say that the management here is impeccable, caring, and does its best to run a tidy ship and grow their employees. Not only is this a good place to eat, but I'd say its a good place for teenagers, students, and young...
Read moreThe cashier was extremely pleasant and helpful and even went to the trouble of remembering my name as I left! The staff preparing food were less competent. A salad sat on the counter for several minutes. I wondered if it might be my mom’s, but her buzzer was silent. After a while I got up to ask, and it was hers. She had asked for dressing on the side and there was none. She moved the lettuce around to see if dressing had been added to the salad, and the lettuce was dry. I asked for her dressing on the side and the staff person insisted that she had put dressing on it. When my salad was ready, it was half the size of my mom’s salad. I asked if mine was also a full size salad, and the same staff person insisted that it was. I paid for a full salad and got half of a salad. The conversations of staff preparing food could be heard throughout the restaurant, even words like “bitch.” A container was dropped on the floor while we were there too as 4 people clustered around the counter asking about mistakes on their orders. I do not plan to eat at this Panera again. The lovely cashier was their only...
Read moreMy wife and i have gone there for years with no problems. 3 weeks ago, we waited in the long drive thru line with no problem and in no hurry. My wife is a vegetarian and ordered a Greek salad with no chicken. We got our order at the drive thru and pulled over to park and eat. Her salad had chicken on it…. No big deal. I pull up to the front door, so she can go into Panera to get a new salad. The door is locked, and there’s a note on the door about the lobby being closed due to staffing. So we didn’t go back in the drive thru lane to wait another 15 minutes. Her $10 salad went in the trash, and we got $1.50 taquito from QT. Then today, she stopped in to grab a coffee and do some final work on her laptop. The door was open and she goes in. They tell her the inside is closed due to staffing issues. She just wanted a coffee, and have a dry place for 20 minutes to do some paperwork. She’s had no problems at the Panera in Sunset Hills. It’s unfortunate that we can’t support one of our local businesses….. She said she will try the new coffee shop in town next time. We are done with witb...
