This is a review of AT&T prepaid service. I want to be clear that this is not a review of any employee at the current location, but a review of AT&T that this location and every location needs to address. It is literally the worst company I have ever dealt with in all of my decades of life. It took literally six hours to get the prepaid phone connected and two hours of that was because they kept declining my credit card card after the bank approved it resulting in more than a dozen charges on my account that were then reversed. Why? because they have a third-party company that won’t actually accept your credit card until you call them, (and of course they don’t tell you that) so that they can verify you even though AT&T has already verified you and sent you an email saying that you were verified. After spending an hour on the phone, trying to solve this problem, which you wouldn’t know existed unless you looked at the Internet and saw all the problems with AT&T prepaid, they then have the gall to try to charge you five dollars for the privilege of having approved you and clearing your card online. Instead, of course you don’t have to pay that once you’re approved you can go back to the account and simply press the button. But as it is a third-party company working for AT&T it’s curious that they don’t start with that option.
The idea that you would have to answer what address you lived on 20 years ago and provide all sorts of detailed information simply to use a credit card online, and a process that takes hours is incredibly insane. If it is not outright fraud to obtain the additional five dollars from each customer—it is gross incompetence on the part of AT&T.
AT&T literally lies and says that your credit card has been declined. When in fact, it is their third-party payment company that is deliberately reversing accepted credit card payments to force you to call them and possibly pay a fee- something they do not in fact, tell you in advance. Instead, they simply say that the bank declined your card, which is untrue. This is a massive problem that is known on the Internet and easily googled, but not yet solved after years.
I urged the store to defend or correct the AT&T practices as the only other way to solve this is to walk into the Store, because trying to get live human being from AT&T prepaid will literally take you more than an hour if you are in incredibly persistent. Wow a day of my life gone...
Read moreI’m really disappointed with my experience. I came in to transfer my service from Verizon and get new phones for my husband and son. I had no intention of getting a new phone for myself. The sales person looked at my old phone and said it would be no cost to upgrade this to an iPhone 13. After handing him the phone and asking if it would truly be a one-for-one exchange he said yes. They told me to keep my old phone and bring it back later to trade in. It took me three visits to accomplish that. (My phone wasn’t even showing up on the account.) When I was finally able to trade in the phone today, they only gave me $350 instead of $800 for it. There were cracks on the back that I wasn’t aware of because of the cover. The sales person knew this would decrease the value of the phone. When I handed him the phone the first time, why didn’t he inspect it like he did today? I can only think it’s because he was eager to make the sale and didn’t care that it would cost me extra.
I was also subjected to pushy sales tactics to purchase their internet service each of the times I came in to try to resolve the issues with my phone. Why would I ever buy another...
Read moreSo if you wanna go to pay your bill and walk out with two new numbers without knowing it this is your place. Most unprofessinal environment I’ve ever been. The sales reps are awesome and an asset. Anyone that can sit there and be bullied by the manager and stay should be paid more. Not to mention I about got a contact high when the manager came over to be little his people in front of me. Nick the manager smelled like a pot farm. He also told my kids to stop talking why I he was slamming my account. The store manager is a bully and doesn’t deserve the position he’s at. I will be switching after today because any company that has managers like Nick is not my type of company. Well after I call and cancel the 2 phone lines that I don’t need or wasn’t even talked to about. Not to mention I tried calling the store to ask about why this happened the store manager Nick hangs up once he knows who it is or doesn’t return my call. I hope someone sees this within the company and at least investigate the manager and his conduct with not only himself but his customers and staff. At least get him sober so he can...
