Dollar General — Local services in Evans

Sweet people work there, but they're probably not paid enough to care. The store closed while I was waiting to check out, so the registers were locked and I had to leave without the things I'd picked out. They were chatting in the office and didn't even notice I was right there! I could have easily left without paying, and they wouldn't have known until later. They offered to hold my things until tomorrow, but it might be partly that they don't want to re-shelve all of it. I'm also pretty sure that a lot of the items were in spaces with the wrong prices - too good to be true, but I won't get to find out if I found deals on the Halloween goodies. If I do come back at night, I'll have to remember this location closes earlier than the others...

Oh where to start? The used hypodermic needle in the parking lot, the police (stopping in for a visit??), the stuff in the store is so dusty - bring a mask if you dare! The worst part is trying to figure out their "pricing"! BEWARE - they have a table area right as you walk in with CLEARANCE! and 50% OFF! But it is designed to fool you! The pink item might be 50% (or more) off, but the SAME item in green or red or blue might be REGULAR FULL PRICE - but it IS NOT marked! BUYER BEWARE! And maybe just try another store altogether. Update: lots of very empty shelves, none of the one item I buy every week, & the prices are higher than Family Dollar that's about a...

Was ripped off by cashier. Had a digital coupon and it still rang up regular price. Was originally $7.75. I pointed it out to him on the flyer and he overrode it to $7.00, when coupon was for $2 off original price. Won't go back...
