IHOP — Restaurant in Georgia

Tonight my girlfriends and i got together and decided to eat at ihop. We are never off at the same time, but tonight we got off early and thought we'd get some dinner.

Worst experience ever. Anywhere. It took us 30 min to get our drinks. which were 3 waters, and a sweet tea.while we were waiting we watched our server stand at the front desk and carry on an entire conversation with a man that was visiting her. She then proceeded to talk to the kitchen and then to her her other table. She made five trips to the kitchen from the lobby to her other table, in a room only about a 100ft avoiding us completely.

So we finally have our drinks! My friends and I gave her the benefit of doubt, maybe she's new, maybe she forgot, whatever.

So now an hour has passed and we still haven't gotten our food, people are getting hangry. Keep on mind there were only two other tables on this 100ft space. A table that came in AFTER we got our drinks got their food before us...come on. Really? We all got up and were about to walk out when our food arived.

Ok now we've ate our food, in a hurry to leave we get our checks and wipe out the cash. She left before we could give her the money. One of my girl friends needed change so I proceeded to get our servers attention. I raised my hand and waved at her because she was talking, again. she looked straight at us, turned and went back into the kitchen. Said nothing, no acknowledgment of any kind, disn't cone back, nothing. We waited for a few min, but finally were so fed up we left the correct change and left.

None of us would ever do that, we are servers too, we totally understand the struggle! !! But the disregard, disrespect, and disappointement tonight was too much. We love Ihop, it's one of our favorites!!! The food is great! The service is okay, usually. But tonight's let down was bad enough that unfortunately we won't be returning.

If the server sees this, I'm sorry, but I hope you take this as a valuable lesson. Pay attention to your tables, treat them all the same. Give us respect, we don't just come for the food, we come to see yall, the servers, to have a good time away from the stresses of the wored to come together to enjoy a meal.

There is money and fun to be had as a server, embrace yr job or find...

I would like to first say I've been an IHOP customer for about 20 years at various locations. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had not only at IHOP but any restaurant! Please believe all the bad reviews about this location! My issue is with the disrespect from the waitress. I looked at my receipt and it says the waitress is CARMEN S. Carmen needs to find a new line of work. Serving isn’t for her. She’s rude and disrespectful!!! I took my mother, father (elderly in 70’s) and 2 nephews for a late breakfast. My Dad has dementia and is in a wheelchair so it hard to take him out sometimes! Upon entering, there weren't many customers present. We sat down and we were the only customers on that side. I could see another family from a distance. Our waitress, Carmen took our drink order then bought back the drinks about 5 minutes later. No problem there. Well, she didn't give us straws! I asked for them and she said OKAY. So, after another 10 minutes or so I went to the front to ask for straws because our waitress didn’t come right back. After another, 10 minutes or so the waitress come back, and we order. The food took about 45 minutes arrive. Then we don’t have SILERWARE to eat either. We asked the waitress, Carmen for silverware. She brings it and it takes a few minutes. Well the silverware was in a small white bag and there were straws in each bag. Why didn’t she give us the bags with the silverware and straws from the beginning? I was annoyed because the restaurant wasn’t busy. It was only 2 families in there including mine. There weren’t people picking up orders because I could see the front desk from where I was sitting. Maybe the restaurant was short staffed. I can understand that. Finally, I go to the front to pay and the waitress comes up and I pay her. I had her my card then she places my card on THE COUNTER! Then I had my hand out for the receipt and she places the receipt on the COUNTER. I asked her, did she know that was rude to put money or a credit card on the counter after I put it in her hand. She looked at me with a smirk and said NO. She was lying and I could tell by the smirk she had...

I usually don't so reviews on businesses unless I had great service. This time it was a bit different. My son wanted to go to the place that serves pancakes so I took him to IHOP in Evans GA. We waited 35 mins to get seated(quoted 25 mins but no problem there) but we knew exactly what we wanted so we ordered right as we sat down. I ordered one meal that I was going to share with my son. After 45 mins of waiting I noticed a family of 3 that was seated 20 mins after us was getting their food. During the entire time we were there the server only came to the table 2 times, once to take our order and one time to bring us the food after I complained about it taking so long. He was extremely rude so I asked to speak to a manager. When the manager came over I explained to her the food was burnt and the pancakes were hard that I had no interest in paying for this food. She said I understand and I also asked for the district managers name and phone number because the manager wasn't the friendliest of people either. I waited for her to bring me the info and after 10 mins of waiting I got up and left because I seen she had no intentions of bringing it to me. I watched as her and the server just talked about me and said some very disrespectful things about. Shortly after leaving I am in the parking lot of the grocery store to get a few items and am surrounded by 3 Columbia County Sheriffs 😳 apparently when the manager said I understand that meant she still wanted me to pay for the bill even though the food and service was terrible🤮. We left there hungry and upset. Long story short, I was forced to pay for the food and was told to never come back which was fine with me because I will never eat there again. They also gave me a number for corporate that is inaccurate 😡 bunch of 🤡🤡🤡🤡 at...
