I would take my money else where. $8,000 on a coffee, 2 end and entryway table plus a coat rack, seems like a lot. I was ok with the price until I had seen what arrived in my home, The get to the point, it’s very different from the catalogues provided. The color was off, more red than what I had thought; even compared to the coat rack that was sent earlier. Pieces were smaller than I expected, more for a kids room and overall, it just didn’t look good. At this price point, it just didn’t deliver.
I’m sure like most, you can see something in a catalogue, get it and it’s just not what you thought should be. Usual customer service would work towards resolving the issue. When we are talking quality products, as advertised, I would expect better if not the best customer service. I kind expected that, based on the reviews, so I sent it back immediately hoping for a positive resolution.
I tried calling after a few weeks of not hearing anything from them, to see what the option were and given the tone of the conversation… It wasn’t going to go well. I told her, I’m sorry but the pieces were kind of ugly. Also, it’s lot of money to spend on furniture that I don’t like. I was looking for response that would lead towards fixing the issue and I was reminded that it was my furniture as all a sales are final, as she pointed out that It was listed at the bottom of the receipt. All I could think of, she never mentioned that before the sale. I find out after the fact when I looked at my receipt . I went on expecting the furniture of my dreams, not so much.
If you want to go with this company, have a very wide imagination of what items could look like, measure first before buying and maybe adjust some expectation on that even. Also, like going to the casino, you may need to accept beforehand that losses may happen, It’s like Russian...
Read moreSeveral years ago we bought a Mission style coffee table and two end tables at Macey’s, but were never happy with how they went with the leather couch and love seat we already owned. Cut to ten years later when we finally decided to replace the leather furniture with two mission style pieces and NOBODY (Macey’s, Carson’s, Tom’s Price, etc) had anything which came close to what we wanted. Enter PLAIN AND SIMPLE who had EXACTLY what we wanted and who’s customer service was friendly and fantastic. We bought a couch, love seat and foot rest which were upholstered in a beautiful pattern which we liked so much that we ordered another footrest. Now our living room looks amazing and with the wonderful scent of fresh varnish lingering in the air (kind of like a new car smell for living rooms) we...
Read moreMy Perfect Desk. I searched high and low for the perfect desk for my new office in our basement. After visiting many furniture and office stores I came to the realization that I could construct my perfect desk at Plain and Simple with the help of their amazing craftsmen.
I thought that the final product would be nice. But, it far exceeded my expectations. The workmanship was stellar. The folks at Plain and Simple were very good listeners and did the final assembly of the desk in my basement.
I was so thrilled with the desk that I ordered a matching lateral file drawer. I always get wonderful compliments on my new office upon showing it to my friends and family. I am extremely pleased and this is something that I get to enjoy every day and for...
