President's Day 2023 (February 20) - visited Lazy Boy store in Evansville and viewed the Elise bedroom furniture by Kincaid. Chose to purchase the set (bed, dresser with mirror, chest, 2 nightstands). During ordering the mirror that went with the dresser we wanted was no longer available. We switched to a different dresser and mirror (Elise Bristow) but were assured it was the same - dresser just had two middle drawers instead of one and mirror was a different look/style. When furniture arrived we discovered that the dresser had holes in the back for brackets to be bolted in to hold the mirror; however, the mirror did not have a way to fasten to the brackets. It had triangular shaped picture hangers on the back - like it should be hung on the wall - which is what we specifically told Lazy Boy we didn't want when we ordered but were assured this dresser and mirror would have brackets just like the one we saw on the show floor. Also - no brackets arrived with the furniture. Delivery people took photos and called store manager. We were assured the issue would be resolved. They would get the brackets and somehow attach the mirror to the dresser. Phone call - brackets will be delivered to your house. Another phone call - brackets will be delivered to the warehouse. Delivery person arrives with brackets - but no bolts or way to affix the mirror to the brackets and says he'll get it taken care of. Friday, July 7 - visit to the store to speak with manager. Acts like this is a new issue - even though we spoke to her on the phone when the furniture arrived at our house. She'll make calls. Wednesday, July 12 - sorry we can't fix this. It's a liability for us to try to affix the mirror to the dresser. I insist on speaking to someone else. Manager left a message that someone would call today to "explain" why they can't fix this issue. 3:00 pm - no one has called. They are completely ignoring the fact they lied to me and sold me a product that was not what I asked for. They are not willing to try to resolve the mirror issue and are not willing to return my money and take the furniture back. After 5 months, I think we've been more than patient. At this time I would advise anyone wanting to purchase furniture from Lazy Boy to stay as far away as possible and shop with just about anyone else. Your satisfaction is...
Read morehello everybody I'm a recent ex-employee of La-Z-Boy establishment here in Evansville and let me tell you first off that they are con artists 100% of the way, buyers beware!!! mostly all your furniture is built from particle board and is not built to last, they are infamous for delivering wrong furniture that the sales team orders for customers and then pretty much force them to keep that furniture by telling them that it is a special order and it cannot be returned even though I witnessed myself personally that the sales floor manager admit it that though salesperson messed up a order but still is telling the customer that they have to keep the furniture and there was nothing they can do about it, they constantly lie to customers and tell them that their legs didn't get shipped with their furniture or there pillows, in reality the piece is actually damaged and they're trying to refurbish it and push it off as still a brand new piece. they will try everything in their power not to replace parts, pieces, power or fabric. I've witnessed them pull furniture from the floor when certain customer pieces was not found in the warehouse and told me and other delivery drivers to not mention that these pieces come off the sales floor and pretend that they are brand new out of package so the customer doesn't get upset, wouldn't you get upset if you found out the furniture you ordered came off the sales floor and not brand new out of the package like you've ordered. they give false promises about delivery times and when People's furniture will arrive at our warehouse. the absolute best for the customer is not in their utmost interest whatsoever. so if you plan on shopping here at lazy boy just keep these things in mind weigh out your risk versus rewards when shopping here. more likely than not the rewards will not equal greater than the risk and the fact that you can literally get the exact same materials at a different place for cheaper says a lot about the...
Read moreOn August 7, 2020 my wife and I ordered two chairs at the Evansville Indiana La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery during a two for one promotion. We were told chairs would be in between six and eight weeks. Eight weeks passed and we were told the end of October. I called the store and was told our chairs were in. We arranged to pick them up at the store on November 4, nearly three months from the order date. Drove over an hour to pick up the chairs, but they were not at the store. Had to wait around while they were brought over from the warehouse. When the chairs arrived at the store, they were the wrong color. Then they told us the color we ordered was discontinued. By now I am getting a bit peeved They said we could pick a different chair, try the ones they had for us at home (but we would have to return to them if we didn't like the color in our living room--another 2.5 hours round trip). We decided on a refund. When I slapped my credit card down for them to process a refund, I was directed to the other end of the service counter. I picked up my credit card and went to the other end of the counter and slapped my credit card down again. At this point, the first "lady" behind the service counter stated "You do not need to act like that." Wrong thing to say to someone who drove over an hour to pick up chairs, only to wait around for delivery from the warehouse, and then find them to be the wrong color. I left the store and my wife had to go in to get the refund processed.
This particular store has rather pathetic customer service, they can't get the order correct, they can't call you to let you know the order was messed up, and then some "lady" has to cop an attitude to really piss me off.
Order from the Evansville Indiana La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery at your own risk. Don't say I didn't...
