Won't ever shop here again after reading how Nikki was treated. Re: Nikki's post on Next Door: "So I just went to Country farms fruit stand on the corner of 16th and Broadway and I bought some stuff but I also spoke with the owner and I told him that I work with the YMCA and every year we do a event called PUMPKINS IN THE POOL and I asked him if he would be willing to possibly donate some pumpkins to the YMCA for this event he told me sure no problem he then told me that the YMCA pays for his membership therefore he has no problem giving us some nice pumpkins we shook hands and he told one of his workers to load up 12 pumpkins into my truck which they did put 12 really nice one then the worker came to me and told me that I needed to pay $146 and I said no they were supposed to be donated so the worker went and talked to the owner and came back to me and said the owner told him that he can't donatebecause it was too much money to lose out on and that he has to take them back out of my truck so that's what they did and I left!! I couldn't even believe they did that .my feelings are pretty hurt and I'm angry about it .especially because he said that YMCA pays for his membership so he had no problem doing the donation! What a perk. So if anybody know of a place that would actually donate please...
Read moreLet me start by saying, I have always loved country farms and in previous years/trips have never had a problem. I have even moved away from Everett area, and still made the trip from Monroe to Everett this shop specifically at country farms. There were a few of random things they didn’t have that we needed (like broccoli crowns) and the quality of at least half the fruit we received was bad, rotten or molding. Specificially, the grapes, blueberries, and bananas. Of course these items were bulk, in flats or bagged for the most part so we couldn’t inspect every piece but we were so disappointed when realizing we had to throw away at least half of the blueberries ($16 itself) and almost ALL of the 10 pounds of grapes we bought.($20+ at least) Definitely have always held farmers markets to a higher standard, and didn’t feel like that standard was met appropriately this time....
Read moreI love Country Farms, I can bring my own bags and don’t have to deal with all the extra plastic packaging (garbage) from the grocery store. I love that it’s local fruit and veggies stand. They have great prices and I always feel like I leave with a lot of food. I got everything pictured plus apples and onions for around 16$. 13 items total. Including a bag of green beans. That’s an amazing deal and happy healthy living. Baked eggplant with spices...
