Everett Boys & Girls Club — Local services in Everett

If I could use zero stars I would. During a flag football game at the Everett club I had a player violently tackled and received taunts and laughs from Everett players AND parents. The ref encouraged the Everett coach to use a timeout with 10 seconds left in a game THEY were winning to try and run up the score. Furthermore, 2 of the Everett players wore no jersey and odd that one was wearing Everett high school track shorts and no jersey. Also, 2 of my players and a group of parents heard one of the refs say he was "high as fu**" before he was sent to a different field. This team even used a non regulation ball even though I offered to use one of the two we have. The whole experience was an absolute disgrace to Boys and Girls club athletics. I will not travel to their field and subject my boys, my parents, my other younger kids, or myself to said trash, we signed up for flag football, not a prison yard street fight. Zero...

I am so incredibly thankful for the Boys and Girls club!!! Today was their back to school supplies drive. I called ahead of time and asked if I was able to get a backpack for my special needs child that was not able to attend. I believe it was the coordinator that helped me personally get bags for my 2 kids that attended and then get an extra for my special needs child that wasn't able too. A few hours later one of my kids realized that the bag she picked wasn't going to work for her and we went back and they allowed us to get another one!!! I am so grateful. They have been so amazing through this whole covid19! They check the kids temperatures every morning and make sure the kids wear their masks everyday, that they provide and wash. They strongly encourage social distancing. If my daughter is gone one day and they are having a "water day" (bring swim suit & towel) or "wheels day" (bring anything with wheels, skates, bikes, scooter, hover board), they always call us so my daughter never misses out. They truly care about the kids! My daughter has been going there for over 2 years and I can't say enough great things...
