We decided to make the journey to the store a few weeks ago rather than buying online. The store has a great selection, however nothing is priced. Which makes items very difficult to buy, had many of the items been marked, we probably would have ended up spending considerably more. We shopped very conservatively, because we had absolutely no idea how much money we were spending. When we first got there, there was an older gentleman with glasses working the counter, who couldn't have cared less that we were there, he had zero interest in helping us, so we didn’t want to keep asking prices, and it was getting very annoying to pick up an item in the store, and try to use our phones to figure out the price online. After the original gentleman disappeared for a while, another guy came to work the counter, who was pretty awesome, I wish I had caught his name for the review. He was very helpful, and even went back into the warehouse to grab us a few specific items that we saw online but we’re not able to locate in the store. He definitely warmed up a very cold customer service experience, and added quite a bit to...
Read moreI make the trip out here occasionally to pick up a few airplane models. Their selection is very good, and it's the closest store with a large selection to the NYC area. The prices are competitive with other model dealers, but what they win on hands down is the superior staff. Extremely friendly and professional staff who were able to help me get a bunch of models I wanted, a pleasure to discuss the hobby with. The customer area isn't huge so there aren't as many models that I collect on display (1/200 diecast metal), as they have to share space with the plastics and different sizes too. Also I wish there was an easier way to see the newest releases that were available, but again, space is at a premium. Still, I make the drive out here because of the great staff, and the ability to check out a bunch of models at the same time. I'm glad...
Read moreIt's a shame you decided to become cheap and stop holding the annual Holiday toy drive and customer appreciation lunch which actually made the loyal customers feel like we were getting something back in return for the fortune we spent at this place over time. Yet, you continue to raise prices correct? The word is out and people are talking. Since you decided once again to skimp out on a simple lunch for loyal customers, in which all of us looked forward to sitting down for a sandwich and coffee, while chatting with others after we dropped a few hundred dollars more here, you have lost more loyal customers than you might think you did. All over sandwiches, chips and coffee? Hey, facts are facts. So cheap and such...
