Had a fantastic experience here this evening. Came to visit my son and we wanted to try something new. Stopped by the Lebanese Spoon and were warmly greeted by the chef and family. We both tried the hummus, which really was some of the best hummus I've eaten. We make it a lot at home and this blew ours out of the water. I was originally going to order the Kebab, but the chef suggested the Lamb Bi Ajheen, which I gladly took him up on. Absolutely delicious! Terrific seasoning and great overall flavor. My son got the chicken shawarma and he really enjoyed it. To top it off, the chef gave us some of the Zataar and Cheese dish. I was honestly shocked at the cheese portion - I couldn't quite put my finger on the overall flavor profile, but it was fantastic and quickly devoured. I had never heard of it, nor have I tried zataar before, but the flavoring of the herbs along with the tomato was spot on. My son said he'd definitely be back - and if I make it back here, I will as well. Some of the best food I've had in a while, served by a very warm and friendly host and chef. I cannot recommend this...
Read moreWhere do I begin? We come from Detroit/Dearborn where there is the biggest Lebanese/Arab population outside of the Middle East, so our standards for Arabic/Mediterranean food are extremely high. We have tried every Middle Eastern restaurant in the Bay Area and absolutely NOTHING compares to Lebanese Spoon…the food is fresh, delicious, with authentic ingredients, and prepared with love and pride. We felt right at home here. The owners treated us with so much hospitality and generosity. One thing that I know the Lebanese people understand well is how to prepare absolutely delicious food. This food nourished us in every way, I felt like I was taken back home to my Arab community. The kabob was mouth-watering, you can tell the meat was fresh & made in an authentic manner. The hummus was absolutely perfect consistency. The Manaeesh were exactly how we have them in Dearborn; the bread was thin and soft, meat spiced perfectly and zaatar was vibrant and aromatic. Ten stars from us. We will be back. مبروك to the owners and hope this business...
Read moreDelicious! The food was so fresh. One of the ladies was rolling out dough and filling it with a spinach/cheese mixture, then baking it. She gave me one to try while I waited for my order. Just tasting it, you could tell it was all prepared from scratch right there. I ordered nabeela, one of the sweet crepes. I love sweet crepes, but this one was different. The crepe itself was thicker than I normally see, but it wasn't heavy. The flavor and texture of the crepe seemed to balance out the sweet toppings perfectly. It kept it from being overly sweet. It was one of the best crepes I've ever had. I wasn't familiar with the names of some of the foods. The lady was very friendly when answering my questions. She was so nice. I'll definitely be back to try some of...
