They are always really good and everyone is so nice. But my most recent visit I got the toffee cream which I asked if it contained nuts because I have an allergy, the girl was super nice and stated she didn’t know so asked one of her colleagues who proceeded to tell me “no it’s like a heath bar” I then said “ok so is that just chocolate and caramel?” Because I’m not super familiar with the candy and he told me yes. A couple bites in I got an itchy face and realized it did contain nuts. I know it was an honest mistake but making sure everyone knows the ingredients or simply just saying they don’t know can really make a difference. I came to Strickland's expecting a fun, local ice cream experience, but was honestly disappointed. The service was slow, dismissive, and felt more like an inconvenience to the staff than a place to welcome customers. Even basic courtesy seemed like a stretch.

What’s even more troubling is what I’ve learned from others in the community: it seems Strickland’s has been paying people to leave negative reviews about new, nearby ice cream shops. If that’s true, it’s incredibly disappointing and reflects poorly on their business ethics. Instead of focusing on improving their own service, they appear more interested in sabotaging competition.
