I am definitely not one who complains, but I must say, for the sake of others who may want to avoid an embarrassing experience, I was disappointed with the planter that was sent to the funeral of a church member's Mother. On behalf of our church, I requested a planter similar to what I saw on the google posting and paid more for 10 long lasting flowers to be added. What showed up at the funeral home was a small pot with 5 flowers and a collection of 5 small plants. The bow was almost bigger than the entire arrangement. My embarrassment was heart crushing. The family of the deceased is a precious part of our fellowship, and we were hoping to provide something that would express our love for them — it definitely did not. What is worse--when I called to explain my disappointment, the owner said, "Well, that is not what the employee wrote up on the order form. You didn't pay for that. Others who sent planters paid more than you did." She had a condescending snicker through the entire discussion. I told the owner that what I discussed with her employee on the phone was that I wanted a planter similar to what I saw in the picture on google -- "an 8" high planter that would have plants standing about 15 to 18 inches higher than that, with 10 extra flowers." I explained to the owner that I didn't care how much it cost, I would have paid twice as much for what I had ordered. I wasn't going by price. She responded, "Well, we don't go by the number of flowers, we go by how much extra you pay." After telling her that I was additionally disappointed in her attitude and response, she said, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" I consented for her to refund half of the price of the arrangement, but I should have asked that the entire thing be reimbursed. If the owner had been kind and apologetic in her response and didn’t try to blame me or make excuses, I would not be writing a...

I can't believe how cheap it all was specially with everything being roses!...
Read moreI just called out for a Delivery to go to Harmony at White Oaks for a Dozen long stem red roses. A 7 mile Delivery. I don't care what the charge is for this. It's for my wife's Birthday whom has to work that day. I pick this floral because I've known this floral business for years and Bill Kime and family. Yet was turned down because was said to be outside they're Delivery area. Really. Cost was not a factor to me, yet was told 3 times they couldn't do it because of distance, she then asked another associate and they say same the same thing. For me to call another florist in Bridgport. Really. I deliver groceries to the elderly, handicap and those who cant get deliveries everyday. What would they say if I told them they have to find another way to get they're food because I won't travel 6 miles even though money was no object. I guess business...
