ALDI — Local services in Fairview Heights

The fact that people actually go to other grocery stores blows my mind..... other than the fact you may have to go to a few other places because maybe Aldi's doesn't carry the product you need..... it's mind-blowing the money that people spend at regular grocery stores. I actually get to buy real fresh fruit getting it back into my diet because I can afford it at Aldi's. Not to leave out the fact that milk is do cheap and we are all drinking bottled water for less then $2.00 you can get a 24 ct. This world needs to wake up because I'm telling you if everybody would get on the same page Aldis is going to put most other grocery stores out of business. I am here to tell you.....you need to give Aldi's a try ....first of all you're going to save money second of all you don't have to walk 6 miles by the time you get all your grocery shopping done. Their cashiers are so amazingly fast so the waiting in line is so short and I can guarantee you as soon as they get more than a certain amount of people in line they definitely open up other register.. so yes you have to bring your own bags and you have to pack your own groceries, but tell me when was the last time that you went to the grocery store and got home and all your groceries were bagged the way you wanted them to be.......

First off, it's aldi so the prices are great. At this location, when you walk in the first set of doors there is always a strong smell of ammonia, reminiscent of cat urine. it only smells in the cart area and not inside main store area, but is definitely offputting when food shopping. Obviously due to cleaning chemicals used. Shelves are always well stocked. One particular cashier always has an attitude and seems to be on some sort of power trip, not just towards me but i witness it towards all the other customers. Watched the cashier berate a customer, who only had one delicate produce item and I'm guessing didn't want it smashed on conveyor belt so she held it in her hand until her turn to checkout, at which time she informed cashier she just had the one item, and customer was told if she ever did that again instead of putting item on conveyor belt that she would be skipped over and next customer would be checked out. It has gotten to the point where I avoid coming here so i don't have to deal with the rudeness and just go to Ruler unless items are way cheaper on...

I was shocked when I seen that they have such an amazing cheese selection for a quarter of the price of these big supermarkets . same great taste too. My son is autistic so he is extremely particular on things that he eats and one of the things that he eats is bacon so I literally have been everywhere and bought every type of bacon out there and I have to admit the bacon at Aldis is absolutely the best bacon that we have tried from Dierbergs to Schnucks to rulers. aldis has the best bacon period and the price is about 3.49 a package. where others are 6.99. hands down i just never thought aldis would be so good. *except for there generic cola soda. its the worst tasting "soda" ive ever put in my...
