GameStop — Local services in Fairview Heights

The days when I used to practically live in a GameStop are a thing of the past ..and that's a good thing . While I try to support brick and mortar stores digital copies of video games have just become the norm . But wanting to beef up my switch library I went in today to pick up a few pre-owned tittles selection price etc yeah not great but I found a couple titles and went to counter ...while waiting for the cashier to return to counter I heard both employees tell customers out right lies to induce purchases was told twice to mind my buissness ( once explaing no if it says vr header required your grand son does need the headset while pointing it out on box ) and another for a unrelated conversation with a fellow customer ..then a barely heard but registered remark about my son's mannerisms ( had I heard it this would have set off the temper I work on everyday and had no choke down the whole visit ) so I get to check out i ask some questions I'm told an answer then when I decide maybe this isn't what I want told the exact opposite my further questions where ignited having to ask multiple times each and to little or no answer even asking for a recomendstiin ..and by the time I realised I was rang up ..for the titles i brought up still deciding ..and after a few more sing and danced and him repeatedly asking for payment over my concerns I slid my card right back in it's spot looked into my wallet paused said ooh I left my cash at home I'll be right back and went to the evil bigbox store and bought 2 new games ..will never walk into this GameStop again and any trips to the stores will be for Funko runs ( and that won't be physically me ) done the only reason for the stars so high is i did see some choice e3 pops and a CPL Grails ..foiling the grandparents missbuy and sweetest justice realising the abrasive one I the kid of a very old friend ( so Yeo I called both his...

This is not a 1 star on this location. It's on Gamestop as a whole but I don't know where else to put this. The people at this location are always so nice and helpful!

Back to my 1 star. Gamestop is ridiculous. They raised the price of their pro membership and offer basically nothing in return. They also stopped letting you use your $5 voucher towards digital game currency. I switched to PC and digital a few years back but I had kept my membership because I was coming in every month and getting a game currency voucher. Sometimes I would buy other things and sometimes I wouldn't but either way it would always work towards the currency. I went in this month and that is no longer a thing. I had just gone in a few days prior and got the one for November. Needless to say I will not be continuing my membership with the company. They do nothing for people who purchase digital games and their PC accessories...

Buyer's beware they will sell you product that dose not to work and not care money is number one here the staff is very emotional and determined on her own account and im very very lucky i got compensated by the manager of the store after an hour of fighting for someone to be called for being sold broken products i was mistreated disrespected and just given any number the employee could find the cops came i got my money back and product exchanged im now banned from the location for depending my 200 back for a defective product do not choose to shop at this location if your are not in their ranks or programs the employees will gladly steal your money and send you on your way GameStop is no longer reputable and just needs your money do not shop here for any discounts an deals beware of whatever you buy without insurance they will shove your money...
