Went to Kohl's in Fairview Hts, IL to redeem my $30 Kohls cash. Acquired items and then heading to checkout. There were about 10 ppl ahead of me so I did self-checkout. Well, it wouldn't accept my 30 Kohls cash so I paid and got into line to return and have a clerk rering my purchase so I could use my Kohls cash. Well, the line, one again, was long and my time was limited. I wasn't the only disgruntled shopper waiting in line. Minutes and minutes past so I called the store to inform them that the line was long and they needed another cashier. The clerk who answered the phone said she would inform the manager. Minutes later, the manager arrived and walked behind the two cashiers and said, "they can self-check themselves out." I couldn't believe she had the audacity or lack of customer care to say such a thing. My purchase(s) are paying her salary. If I don't want to self-check, I don't have to. Plus, returns can't self check. I could tell she didn't appreciate being disturbed. Well I have news for her. If she doesn't do a better job, she maybe looking for another. You don't insult your customers at your expense. I don't get paid to check myself out. That's what cashiers are for. Twice now I have been in this store and only 2 cashiers working for all transaction. If this continues, I will NOT be supporting Kohl's. Of course, there is no number to call and report her unprofessionalism. The cashier who assisted me was very friendly and caring. The...
Read moreI was at the Kohls in Fairview Heights IL about midday. There were 3 people in line. I didn't check out for 20 minutes. This was after one customer asked the only cashier if she could call another cashier up to the front & was totally ignored by her. A manager was called up to the front to help the customer that was holding the line up, so I asked her if there was another register or if she could call another cashier up. She said there was another register somewhere on the other side of the store, but didn't know if it was open or exactly what department it was in. As she walked away, the manager, called the girl behind the jewelry counter & told her to help us even though she was in the process of counting her register drawer, then told me that "there was nothing she could do unless I wanted her to throw up on me" & walked to the off to the back. She never even faced me to speak directly to me. Very rude employees today which was Monday January 14, 2019. The store wasn't very busy seeing that it was about 12:30 in the afternoon. If someone from corporate reads this review, please contact me. I was passed by & saw several employees while in the store, but never once was I asked if I need help or anything. I am very disappointed with this store & may not ever go back. A customer shouldn't be treated in such a manner when you are a retail...
Read moreI was hesitant at first with writing this review because at the time I found it comical, but now overall feel the need to address it. The last 3 times I’ve gone to Kohls in fairview heights; I’ve gone looking for a dress shirt or pants. Each time I’ve gone, there had been employees following me and trying to be nonchalant with it, making sure I’m not stealing. I totally understand and I too, working in a field like that, would have my doubts with believing everyone does the right thing and pays for the goods they’re after. That being said though, the feeling of being judged constantly and being stared at by the same 3 workers every couple of minutes as they pretend that they’re just walking by, gets extremely annoying. My family has been Kohls members for about 15 years now and it just gets me closer and closer to canceling it all. Their workers wages are none of my business, but I can almost assure my salary at work is upwards to 3x more than what the workers who are convinced I’m being dishonest are making. There is no part of me whatsoever that has the desire to drive to Lohls on a Saturday morning with family to steal a...
