My husband and I purchased our second Sleep Number bed less than two years ago after having our first Sleep Number bed for about 11 years. It took me about a year to get used to our first Sleep Number bed, but after that, I was hooked! I was sure I wouldn’t be able to sleep on anything else. I suffer from back and hip pain, so when our first Sleep Number mattress started to not retain air and I started having more pain, we decided to upgrade to the Sleep Number Climate 360 FlexTop King. The salesman talked us into the quarter-split. It was delivered on May 5, 2023, however, after a short time, we decided the full-split would be a better fit for us. I called to request an exchange, and the full-split was delivered on July 8, 2023.
A few weeks ago (mid/end-March 2025), the foot warmer on my side of the bed quit working. I contacted Sleep Number Customer Support on April, 9, 2025, and was not offered any troubleshooting assistance. The rep ran a diagnostic test and told me the foot warmer needed to be replaced and that it would be $350.30 for the part and labor, or $160.30 for only the part if we wanted to change the part ourselves. I contacted Sleep Number Customer Support again on April 12, 2025. I told the rep that I had called a few days before and had not been offered any troubleshooting assistance, and the prices I was quoted. I also told her that I felt it was ridiculous that it is going to cost us $350 to get a bed fixed that we purchased brand new for around $12,000 less than 2 years ago, and wanted to know if there was anything else that could be done. The rep was very kind, and did walk me through troubleshooting steps. She checked into my previous call and said that I had originally been quoted for replacing the foot warmer on both sides of the bed, but only one side was not functioning properly. She quoted me $240.51 for the part and labor, or $50.51 for only the part but she informed me that Sleep Number did not offer any videos on how to change this part and if anything else was damaged during us changing it ourselves it would not be covered by the warranty.
For the last decade, I have raved about Sleep Number to anyone that would listen. I had been trying to convince a friend that is looking to purchase a new bed into going with a Sleep Number. After hearing of our recent issues, she has decided to go with a different bed, and I cannot honestly say I blame her or that I will continue to recommend Sleep Number beds. Considering the amount of money we have spent (and still spending because we had to finance due to this bed costing as much as a decent used car), I would expect a much better warranty, and we are having to replace parts less than two years after purchasing, my confidence in this bed lasting leaves much...
Read moreI want to start off by saying with the gentleman that helped us in store deserves a five star review. He was not pushy and very nice, but after this is where our experience has gone downhill.
I will caution anyone and everyone against buying a sleepover mattress unless you enjoy sleeping on an air mattress because that’s 100% what it feels like. After sleeping on the mattress for two weeks and consistently waking up in pain from lack of support we decided to return the mattress. The phone customer service is horrendous. She argued with us against returning the mattress stating that we needed to sleep on it for 30 days before we were allowed to return. After telling her that we were not keeping the mattress for 30 days she reluctantly “allowed” our return. But then gave us a date for pick up that was conveniently two weeks later. After back-and-forth that lasted far too long, she miraculously found a date sooner. We received a pick up window of 8 hours and the day before received the actual time of pick up with a range of 4 hours that didn’t work with our schedule. Once receiving the notification, I immediately called to let them know that this time would not work to which they responded that the only thing they could do would be to move the date another two weeks away. So unless you have a day that you can actually be home for a full eight hours, there’s no way to return the bed.
On top of this, I want to caution everybody from buying their adjustable base. It is DOUBLE the cost of anywhere else and the only way to control it is through your phone UNLESS you want to spend another $50 for a remote. The base is nonrefundable so after we found out that the base that we bought from them was double the cost of everywhere else, we had to just eat that...
Read moreRecently purchased a bed from the vendor at the St. Clair Mall and received great customer. We paid nearly 9k and waited one month for delivery. Their delivery department scheduled a blocked time that fit their schedule in the afternoon to deliver. On the day of the delivery, the delivery driver called asking if they could deliver three hours early. I told them I would have to stick to the agreed upon delivery timeframe. I left work and called their delivery driver 30 mins after receiving their call and no one answered. I called multiple times during the delivery time and no one answered. I called the store where I purchased the bed and they called the delivery manager. The delivery manager called apologizing trying to reschedule. I cancelled the purchase and will buy from a different vendor. Overall, this experience was horrible and would not recommend purchasing from the...
