This is a time where 1 star, feels like it's too much! Save your money and go elsewhere for a gel manicure and pedicure! I had an upcoming beach vacation and wanted to get both a gel manicure and pedicure before we left. I chose this location for the convenience of how close it was to my job. I like their website and the fact they deal with natural nails and don't use drills to take off the gel polish. After spending $150 for both services, plus a tip, I was extremely disappointed to be on vacation and 4 days later my gel nail polish started chipping ($spent an extra $10, to have a product applied to keep the gel on for 3 weeks+) and my toenails were streaked, the color was not put on well and clearly needed another coat. I called the company from my Florida vacation and was told to send an email and pictures. I emailed several pictures and included the date stamp to show them what happened after only a few days. Provided my phone number and asked them to please call regarding my concerns. More than 24 hours I get a return email stating their "Training and Experience Team" would look this over and get back to me. I received another email the next day stating the "Customer Experience Team" determined it was not up to company standards. They stated that they would redo my service and I was sent a text with 2 different, back-to-back appointment times, which silly me thought they were re-doing both the manicure and pedicure. Nope... not the case only the manicure...because, apparently streaking polish is acceptable to their company standards! It was embarrassing to be on vacation and have your polish chipped and streaking when you take the time and money to get it done professionally for an important event! I would have been better off doing my own nails at home! I did not write a review when all of this initially occurred, because I believe in second chances. So, I called and sent an email with photos. Nothing can take away the embarrassment I felt on vacation, but I did expect both services to be re-done. There is a Salon Lofts right next-door and so many other salons near-by to go to for quality gel manicures and pedicures, that will last. I have never had an issue with gel nails and they easily last close to 3 weeks! I feel it is important to share my experience, so no one else wastes their time and money, only to be embarrassed by nails...
Read moreI was lucky enough to try this place out for a pedicure. I absolutely love the atmosphere as soon as you walk in. From the outside the small entrance doesn't do this place justice. I actually passed it when I arrived because there's no huge signage above the entrance like other storefronts, just painted on lettering on the glass. When you walk in you are met with chic and modern decor that makes this feel really upscale.
When I arrived for my appointment I read a sign asking me to have a seat. I was greeted shortly there after and quickly taken back. According to the website they offer you tea, coffee or water, I did not get that experience.
Each pedicure and manicure area is comfortable and spacious. I never felt crowded in my area. The copper bowls your feet go into are just the right touch and offer antifungal benefits. The products used felt luxurious but most importantly this nail bar was into best practices for cleanliness and it shows. I observed fresh instruments pulled from sealed packages for use. Labels on clean files. Cleaning products being used after clients etc.
I think maybe because they are new there are a few kinks to work out. I didn't get the can't live without massage I was hoping for at the end or offered the beverage upon arrival but maybe that was a fluke. I never seen someone use cuticle clippers to cut toe nails either, that was very different.
The online booking process was super simple but I would change the appointment reminder email because it didn't have my nail tech's name. The original confirmation did have her name which I discovered later but I couldn't remember who was assigned to my "first available tech" appointment I had opted for. You will get a different personalized experience with each tech so remember the name(s) of your favorite.
For the cost, I'm torn if I would return or not. A gel pedi can get pricey. However, the superb hygienic ways and the smell of some of the products made this a memorable...
Read moreI had a gel nail appointment I scheduled for Friday 2/28. The technician that did my manicure was great and my nails looked really nice when I left the salon. I was happy with the shape and gel application.
3 days later I noticed about 3 of my nails were already peeling. By day 5, it was half of them. I reached out to customer service and they requested pictures which I had sent. They couldn’t tell what was going on so I went in and talked to a different technician. She told me they were lifting and that it was normal for nails to lift as they grow even 3 days later. I disagreed and then she tried to talk me out of getting them fixed by telling me removal would probably hurt since there hasn’t been much growth. I insisted on getting them fixed and she told me to reach out to customer service (which I had already done). I reached out to customer service again, told them what the salon said and sent more pictures and they scheduled me an appointment without confirming my availability at a time that I’m at work. I wound up rescheduling but this morning I just decided to cancel. It is beyond me the runaround you get to fix an issue with this salon and the push back you get from customer service. Today on day 7, 9 of my nails are already peeling up around the cuticle and it’s not worth it to me to fix half this manicure at this point. I’ll just go somewhere else once this grows out. Don’t waste your time at this salon for a gel manicure.
My pedicure experience was really good and none of those are lifting so I am pretty happy with that!
Overall the place was clean and used sterile tools which was much appreciated but I’m disappointed in the longevity of the manicure and support I received when I requested this...
