Plummer's Hardware (ACE Hardware) in Farmington, MO is hands-down the finest hardware store I have ever shopped in. This is due to the fact that the employees are knowledgeable about hardware, housewares, plumbing, construction, landscaping, gardening--pretty much all areas that bring someone to a hardware store. And if the "helpful hardware person" assisting you doesn't have an answer, they find someone who does. If that doesn't pan out, they'll get on the internet or call another store or refer you to a local professional. Sorry to say but I came into the store today for a DeWitt battery charger and 20 volt battery. Found the displays of all the tools but with three or staff standing at the desk and not one would even ask if need help, same as I came in, one staff was helping a customer, they left back to the desk. I very sorry but this was not the welcome feeling I felt a new customer should get. Very cold feeling, border line with rude, so I left drove out the the other Ace hardware store. Totally different very nice so I git what I needed, ended up spending $250 total. But felt appreciation for shopping at their store. Very surprising, rudeness and...

This is our favorite place for hardware, paint, and garden supplies! Everyone working there is knowledgeable and helpful in finding what’s needed. We appreciate being able to get what we need quickly and get back to our projects! Prices are reasonable and quality is always great…if we bought the wrong item, we can easily return and get the correct item…usually speaking with the same worker so we don’t have to explain what’s needed again and again!
