Wow! Owner's response to Millikan versus me, way different. I would have expected a "sorry you didn't like it" or something besides being called a liar (not lyre which is a musical instrument). Even in his reply he did not address my concerns but attacked me. I did not say I could hear the people's conversation just that they were talking loudly. Also, I did not say I spoke to the manager although it did sound that way. The server said, "The manager said there was nothing that can be done." In fact YOU did NOT try to remedy the issue. Bottom line is customer service doesn't seem to be your forte.
Music is way too loud! While the nachos were good and the wings were pretty good as well, this is not a place to go if you want to relax with friends and talk/eat. I came in about 6 pm on Monday and was seated promptly. Not many people were there. About 5 at the bar and the a table of 4 elderly people and 2 other tables with 2-3 people, all older. My friend and I ordered and tried to have a conversation but literally could not hear each other without yelling. The other tables were having to talk so loudly you could hear them across the restaurant. I asked if the music could be turned down so we could talk and I was told by the manager that nothing could be done. The music was all rap and rock. Not that i disliked all the music but it wasn't really the genres of the people in there at the time. I can't believe that nothing could be done to make a...
Read moreIll start by saying that I have been looking forward to seeing Wings Etc. in town, Knoxville, since moving here. I even recommended them to friends as saying this is the best place for wings in America! How do I know this? I have been eating wings from Wings Etc. Since the late 90's in South Bend at the first restaurant. So with a heavy heart I need to set somethings straight about my local Wings Etc. First, the price has gone up, however the quality has gone down. In March, I had eaten there. My only complaint was under sauced. Things have not changed. They are not really saucing the wings enough. Today, my wings were rubbery and undercooked. They were not crispy enough. 2 of the wings tasted fishy, which leaves me to believe that oil was old or wings were cooked with fish maybe. So, I called about the under sauce. The answer from the owner, come in and we will give you sauce or next time order sauce on the side like its my fault. The restaurant is 20 minutes away and several gallons of gas. I wanted to eat my wings for the NFL game. You know the fault does lie with me. I should have never ordered. Hopefully the fishy wings do not make me sick. I spit out the second wing. I have never spit out food. I really hate food poisoning so wish me luck. I will never give them my business. I guess I am still looking for a good wings restaurant in Knoxville. DO NOT eat here. Your hard earned money is worth more elsewhere. KFC is better. Popeyes dominates...
Read moreThis is our third visit here. The first visit was AMAZING and we thought we had found our wing place. The second visit we took friends along with us to share this awesome wing place we’d found, the food was okay, but not as great as the first. Today we went in for our third and likely final visit. We had a fairly simple order and it took the kitchen 4 tries to get the food right. The manager never even came out to speak with us!!! We were there well over an hour before we actually got to eat and they were not very busy. A couple other people had come in about 10 mins after us and were nearly done with their food by the time ours came out for the first time. It took about 35 mins to get the food back after the first time it was sent back to the kitchen. At that point they gave us a card for a free appetizer. This cycle continued until they finally had the order right the 4th time they brought it out. I would have MUCH rather paid full price for our food and had it come out right the first time, however after having to send it back 3 times and it taking us nearly 2 hours to grab a “quick lunch” the 10% discount they gave us was a snack in the face! I thought they would be the ones to finally survive that cursed building, but that won’t be the case if management continue running things this way! Without a major intervention they will face the same fate as the other 10+ restaurants that have been in that...
