Harps Food Stores — Local services in Fayetteville

Very nice employees. Probably one of the best deli selections in the area. Store doesn't seem to be nearly as crowded as the competition across the street wich is quite nice but you'll figure out why when you start shopping. My wife is a bargain hunter and loves to shop across the street, I on the other hand would rather pay a little extra and get all the perks that come with it! Seriously, we're taking about maybe 2-3‰ of the total bill. I know that Harp's is a tad bit beyond being a "mom & pop shop", but but compared to the competition, they're still small fry! Also stop in every few of weeks and buy my wife some flowers, nice selection (very surprising for a grocery store!), good prices. They seem to have flowers and gifts in just about any price range. There aren't enough words to be written for how incredibly thankful I am for Alexander mentioning the Meat Dept. at Harps on Crossover was offering a whole Prime Rib aged 45 days on site, trimmed, cut to my specifications and double wrapped for take home. After I gave a resounding YES to my order, Matt worked his magic and selected a beautifully marbled masterpiece to which I picked up today. I can not thank Matt enough for aging, trimming and wrapping these beauties with such precision and care. This location is well managed and has a great crew working here. They are pleasant and helpful. They are always stocking and straightening shelves. Their deli and bakery are tasty. They have the best kept fresh vegetables and fruit section also in the area. I am glad they have bought fresh local homegrown tomatoes recently. The tomatoes are very juicy and delicious. Watermelon is very tasty and is now in season. The Harps store at this location usually has the best potatoes compared to other grocery stores in our area. I think Walmart has the worst potato ever. So I never buy any produce from Walmart.
