My husband and I are making an effort to try a different restaurant when we go out to eat instead of going to our usual haunts. Thus we went to East Side Grill last night. Arriving on a Saturday night around 8:00 without a reservation we were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were seated in a booth. However, the booth we sat at had a wobbly table and one of the benches was oddly elevated as if it was for children. Thankfully Dillan, the host or front end manager, kindly relocated us to another booth in the same section very quickly and we were able to keep our same server. Being new to East Side Grill our server (I didn't get her name unfortunately) kindly shared menu recommendations which helped my husband make his entree choice. I spotted that Prime Rib was available on Friday and Saturday nights and I was excited to have that with a loaded baked potato and grilled asparagus. Yumm, right!!?? Well... When my plate arrived in what seemed like no time at all, I thought there was a mistake. I told the server that I ordered Prime, not a steak, because before me was a grilled (lovely crosshatch grill marks) rib eye steak.??? The server explained to me that at East Side Grill they Sous Vide their Prime Rib and then finish it off on the grill. I've never had it that way and honestly I doubt it was even of prime quality, because it was tough. What I will say is that again, Dillan came to our table and explained that the menu can be confusing for some people about that one item. He offered me other options to make sure that I had a positive experience at their restaurant. Additionally, my husband's Pesto salmon was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. East Side Grill should either rename their Prime Rib, cook it differently or just take it off the menu imho. Also what they should do is recognize Dillan as an extraordinary representative of their restaurant and excellent diplomat. Dillan did everything within his power to make our night as positive as possible....

Our waitress was sub par at best. We gave her a $100 bill for our check. First, we never got the exact change back that should have been received, which I could blow that off. But then she only gave us a 20 dollar bill and a 1 dollar bill back as the change, even though my son and I sat and watched her fumble through a stack of 1's, 5's, and 10's. She really did herself a disservice by doing that because we left a smaller tip than we were going to even though honestly it was not deserved, but I believe in leaving good tips. But it was as if she believed she should have gotten a 25% plus tip?? The food had great flavor but literally every meal we had on our table was cold, not even luke warm. The only thing that came out warm was the side of grits. The food may have been cold from our waitress disappearing for long periods of time, I am not sure but a cold meal is unpleasant, especially when one of the meals was biscuits and gravy. No one likes cold gravy. Was really disappointed, had higher expectations after looking at photos and...
Read moreWell, I hate leaving a not so good review or changing my review. But in this case I figured whoever owns the place should know what's going on. The shrimp appetizer was hot and good, no problem there. Main course; meatloaf and bacon wrapped chicken. Both of our dishes came with mashed potatoes and green beans. They weren't Frozen, but let's just say they weren't hot. Both of our proteins were lukewarm at best, I don't know if it just sat there too long or what happened. But it was very disappointing. The server was so so, my wife was not happy with her not checking on us after the main course arrived. I will say this, this is the first time that things were not right, we've eaten there in the past. Additionally to the people that drive by and see a full parking lot, don't assume that they're packed, the seating outside was full but inside...
