Every employee has been more than helpful and they’re very experienced. This place is full of knowledge and quality work. Couldn’t be happier to be their customer and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Lane, Luke, Ben, Sean and Drew have been a great help! (Drew even though you work in a different department you had great customer service and even made my experience better just being a really chill guy and chatting with me everytime i came into the store, thank you.)
Lane, sold me right away from just a short phone call to check to see if they had the bow i wanted (while i was heading to another store to pick up a mathews with a color i didn't want but had little choice due to that particular bow being so popular) He said Oh we got'em! We will take care of you, come out here! They had what i wanted and more! Stayed over 2 hours losing track of time! Guys were great to talk to.
Ben and Sean helped me with my first compound and set it up perfectly. Sean had great info and went out of his way to help me choose the right attachments for the bow. Ben went out of his way to help anyway he could with all my questions. fixed up my bow nicely, arrows, stand, inc. Even called me when the chronograph came in. Great service, thanks buddy.
Went back later in the month a couple times on a wednesday each time, like 3 hours before closing. Lane, Luke and Drew were there and Lane remembered me and even asked how everything was! That was nice to know they cared! Luke and Lane know their stuff when it comes to everything archery. Every minute they used making all the adjustments and measurements just right was inspiring to watch. I asked so many ignorant questions they didn't even judge me for the obvious. Luke is one smart guy, knows alot about everything bow. Helped set my Ultra view! Lane went above and beyond yesterday, thanks man. I switched a few things out on him and he fixed all my mistakes and made the bow perfect. Very skilled!...
Read moreAfter stopping in occasionally and not finding what I was looking for, I started trying to look for what this place had in stock online. Unfortunately that was a failed avenue as well since every time I go to look up the website, it just says “Coming Soon” without ever having any updates for the last 3-4yrs I have been checking. I was able to find some of the things I was looking for on other manufacturers’ websites and was told that Denny Dennis was a supplier. Going out of my way to find a specific item, stopping in store I quickly found they DO NOT carry all of the things they advertise that they do. This happens even more frequently now than it has before.
There is also the markup on the items they do stock. I am okay paying markup if it evens out with shipping costs if I order online, especially since I can walk out with my desired item same day. At this store however, I have seen the markup as much as 40%!! which I find to be a deterrent to wanting to purchase anything.
Another instance is when I went in to get live bait to take my 4yo fishing. I was looking for wax worms, and when I asked if there were any more containers after finding the only one they had in stock was full of long dead bait, I was informed that they had crawlers if I wanted something else.
I want to support a locally owned business but it makes it hard when the markup on items is as high as it is, the instances of false advertising, the lack of selection, quality of product is not there, and what seems to be the overall unwillingness to step forward into the...
Read moreContacted multiple weeks before my yearly fishing trip to order a box of crickets, was told to wait until the week of the trip to place the order. I called and spoke with Al Cook on early Tuesday morning before my trip who was very helpful and assured me that I would have the quantity that I ordered, and even went as far as ordering twice the amount needed to be sure that I would be taken care of. However when I showed up the following Friday to collect my order. I was greeted with two very confused teenagers who informed me they haven’t had crickets for weeks. I was very disappointed. As the smile left my face and I began to head towards the door the story all of the sudden changed. Now the scoop was that they had changed suppliers and they were “just running late”. However when I spoke with Al the delivery was scheduled for Thursday morning. Now here I am the night before my vacation scrambling to find live crickets. I like supporting small businesses, and am even happy to pay the ridiculous up charge for it, but with that price should come at the very least a shred of customer service, but instead I am met with empty promises, lies and disappointment. It is a shame that establishments like this close down all the time all due to the lack of competence and communication. If you decide you want to go ahead and risk ordering bait from this failed attempt at a business, draw up a contract, seems to be the only way to get anybody to honor their...
