I should have known when I first walked in it took them 10 minutes to acknowledge us and sit us at a table. When we were finally sitting moments later they asked us what we wanted to drink. Now the only reason I came to this restaurant was because my son birthday and he just turned 18 (05/04/24) and I saw that they put sombaros on them and have music. They refused to acknowledge that it was my son birthday, but we saw them acknowledge someone else. We arrived at the restaurant at 6pm we didn't get our food until after 7pm and when we got our food it was lukewarm at best. I've been to several Mexican restaurants and I never heard of waiting that long for tacos and 1 quesadilla. My son's shrimp tacos he said tasted gritty, my daughter said the only thing that was good were her French fries, my middle daughter only ate 1 of her tacos al pastor, my son's girlfriend refused to eat, and my tacos al pastor was cold and the meat was dry. When I finally got my quesdilla that I ordered with my meal which was 10 minutes later, it looked like they just threw on 5 pieces of shrimp and squeezed just a little cheese sauce in the middle. I've had quesdillas before and what I got looked liked some kid younger than 10 threw it together. We didn't get refills on our drinks. My son also noticed that everyone but us inside the restaurant was Caucasian, I'm guessing they only treat Caucasians great and everyone else subpar. Now I can honestly say that their shrimp jammer were good, but everything else you would have a better time at Taco Bell or the actual restaurant I should have gone too ( 3 Margaritas). When I finally got my bill it was 101.25 and the waiter looked pretty sad when she asked us did we want a to go box and we told her to take it and trash it. I've spent more than this on restaurant food but the way this food tasted and there services I can say we would never again. I will take my money elsewhere and I will let others know how bad we...
Read moreWe were a party of 4 adults & one of only four tables being served at 4pm on a Saturday. The waiter waited over 10 minutes before he took our drink order of 3 Pepsi's & 1 water, then we had to wait another 10 minutes before he brought the drinks to the table. I told him we were ready to order when he brought our drinks, he gave me a worried look & told me he'd come back to take our order. 2 minutes after I watched him scoop some chips for the table that had arrived before us, but not give it to them, he came rushing back & then took our orders. Super weird, but ok. Almost 30 minutes after taking our order he brings out the smallest serving of Fajitas Texas I've ever received. Then I sat there for over 7 minutes with my food sitting there awkardly waiting for the other 3 people in my party to be served, while I watched him serve food to another table instead. The chicken was over cooked in all of our dishes, none of our food was hot & instead seemed like each plate was left to sit in the kitchen while our waiter wasn't paying attention. None of us left with any leftovers, which is super rare for us as we usually can't finish our servings at a sit down Mexican restaurant such as this. Each time that we were quietly waiting for the attention of our waiter, I watched him busily cleaning the back storage room of the restaurant & even bleaching areas of the bar. Basically all kinds of prep/janitorial work that should've been performed prior to opening for the day. We've never found a reason not to tip until this lackluster experience. We will not be back & recommend others...
Read moreI'll echo most of what the reviews below me have said. The food is good, service is spotty. I've been to this restaurant probably 15 times, I think it's really good Mexican food for the area. I grew up in Chicago, so I've had my fair share of authentic Mexican food, and so far, this place as been one of my regulars to get Mexican at in Fenton. They have very good chips and salsa, that alone I come back for. I've enjoyed their steak items and enchiladas and souprs. One thing I will comment on is I would avoid any items that are topped with a "cheese sauce". This cheese sauce seems to be common around mexican restaurants in the area and I find it to be absolutely disgusting. The service has been anywhere from fair to poor every time I go. A lot of times they've messed up our orders, or are just slow, or aren't very attentive. The last time we went, they brought my girlfriend the wrong flavor of margarita, she thought something didn't taste right with her banana margarita but couldn't quite figure it out, so later our waitress comes back and says; "sorry about the margarita, it's coconut". My girlfriend just said oh its fine... thinking she would be brought the right margarita next, nope she never did. And we were charged full price. I thought that was a rather poor way to treat...
