I was a huge fan of this store and their clothing line. I liked it so much, that my wife and I would return annually to spend $150-200 on their products. The first purchase (approximately 2015) faded and started to peel. The second purchase (2016) also peeled and began to show wear and tear after a few cycles. In 2017, we bought more of their stuff despite their durability issues. The owner said that we should turn inside out and hang dry; done. Another 150$ to FINS because we loved their stuff.
In 2018, our shirts from 2017 were peeling again and in some areas beginning to tear. In an attempt to buy more FINS apparel, I brought in my shirts and was hoping for some special considerations. The employee (which I believe to be the owner) said that he “didn’t know how we were washing them”. As a matter of fact, I was them the same way I wash my Orioles and Ravens shirts that I bought on the streets of Baltomore; they are impeccable. The FINS employee then said, “I don’t know what I can do for you.”
I walked out of the store passing several shirts that I would have probably purchased. Thanks a lot FINS, but do better. I’ll keep my money this time.

Read moreVisiting Delaware beaches and made a specific trip to Fin’s to buy some tshirts etc for myself and my daughters. We were with my parents as well. We were followed by Sharon throughout the store, the entire time we were there. My 13 year old daughter was accused of stealing a $7 pura vida bracelet by Sharon from the display rack at the counter. She then asked my daughter to open her purse so that she could check the contents. My daughter was flabbergasted but obliged, without my knowledge.
Outside the store my daughter broke down in tears because she had never been in that predicament before and would never steal, let alone with her mother and grandparents present.
After we left the store, we demanded that she come out and apologize however she just went on and on about how they have so many thefts in the store. The coffee shop owner across the square saw the incident outside Fins and agreed this is not the first time this type of situation has happened.
I tried to return everything we bought, but was told they don’t do returns. How convenient. We will not be shopping here ever again. Stay away, especially if you...
Read moreIf you want people to buy from you then don’t profile people of color and teenage girls and treat them like thefts. We got our zippered bags taken from us and they were clearly searched behind the counter. We did not see any signs that stated bags were prohibited, and if there was, I suggest making it larger and more noticeable. There were also other customers that did not get their wide open bags confiscated which was very unreasonable, as adults are equally able to steal things as well as teenagers. I was looking at jewelry (without my bag) and an older male employee got way to close to me and heavily breathed while moving the racks around while I was looking. The whole visit was extreme unpleasant and I did not feel welcomed. You can find the exact same clothes at other surf shops for cheaper in ocean city. As a store that’s mostly targeted towards the young adult audience they should treat their shoppers with...
