Yuzu Sushi in Fenwick Island, Maryland, is an absolute gem, especially if you're looking to savor the last few weekends of summer with a cool breeze and an outdoor dining experience that sets the perfect scene. The ambiance is nothing short of delightful—picture yourself enjoying a meal under the summer sky, with the gentle sound of waves in the background. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind and truly appreciate the season. We kicked off our meal with the tuna tostadas, dipped in a luscious eel sauce that was nothing short of perfection. The crispy tostadas paired with the rich, savory sauce were a chef’s kiss moment. The gyoza was equally impressive, with a dipping sauce so delicious that we saved every drop to complement our sushi rolls. Speaking of sushi, Yuzu's rolls are in a league of their own. The Tsunami roll, with its hint of jalapeño, delivered an explosion of flavors that was both bold and refreshing. The Sandbar roll was a unique standout—the pineapple added a tropical twist that was surprisingly harmonious. The Spider Pig roll was a true Maryland experience, showcasing local flavors in an innovative way. And the list goes on—the Tanker, Tropical Storm, Spicy Scallops, Dynamite, and Steak Fried Rice were all mouthwatering delights that left us craving more. To top off the evening, we indulged in some expertly crafted cocktails. The Japanese Old Fashioned was a sophisticated blend that hit all the right notes, while the White Marlin was a refreshing 10/10. The Whiskey Sour was the perfect drink to round off a truly unforgettable meal. What really made our experience at Yuzu Sushi exceptional was our server, Berke. He was incredibly friendly and brought an amazing energy to the evening. Berke was not only helpful but also went above and beyond in making great recommendations, ensuring that we had the best of what the menu had to offer. His expertise didn't stop at the food—the mocktails he crafted were just as impressive, refreshing, and perfectly tailored to our tastes. His attentiveness and enthusiasm truly elevated our visit, making the entire experience a 10/10.

Not authentic sushi AT ALL. As a former sushi restaurant employee, this was hands down the most overpriced and WORST "sushi" I've ever eaten over the past 20 years at multiple restaurants. 1. Our order took much longer than expected. NBD because it was a fairly big order. 2. We paid $15 for romaine tops (the worst part of the lettuce) and a few raw carrot chunks, cucumber slices, and about 6 avocado slices. 3. The sushi rice was not seasoned AT ALL. 4. The "miso soup" had ZERO tofu or kombu. It tasted like watered down chicken broth and definitely NOT miso. Could've been a urine sample for all we know. 5. The edamame was way overcooked and had no salt on it. 6. The rolls were unevenly cut and rolled poorly - many fell apart. 7. Fillings were skimpy in the sushi rolls. 8. $25 Fried rice was overcooked and underseasoned on a huge bed of rice that contained what seemed like a previously frozen mixed vegetable mix. Have absolutely nothing positive to contribute at all. Avoid at all costs!!!

I discovered Yuzu a few months ago and loved it. Until tonight. I called at 7:45 pm tonight and asked for take-out. The girl who answered asked me to hold. She came back and said, “They said they don’t want to take any more carry out orders.” Their posted close time is 9 pm. My response was “You’re kidding. Oh no.” (Because my kids really wanted sushi and we were bummed). She didn’t say “We’re swamped.” She didn’t say “We’re backed up.” Nope. She said nothing…and hung up on me. I called back. I planned to ask to speak to a manager to share that as a local and regular, I was surprised to be hung up on. But when she answered the phone after I called back four or five times, she hung up again without saying a word. My aim, sitting across from me, was also shocked at the treatment. It would have all been ok if she had been polite. I called Sushi Cafe. I was treated well! They took my $100 sushi order and it was amazing (photo is from there). Thank you Sushi Cafe! We will be back!

ordered delivery from here on doordash and received the completely wrong order that was half the size (we ordered $70 of sushi for 3 ppl) , so we called the restaurant to see if maybe they gave the dasher the wrong order. the manager of the restaurant told us that there was a new employee making the sushi and he only put out half of the sushi in our order in the bag for the dasher to take and he confirmed that the remainder of our order was still sitting on the counter there and wasn’t delivered to us. he then rudely said “lucky you, you get another delivery”, confirming that he would send another delivery driver to drop off the remainder of our order. 2 minutes later, he called back to ask where we were bc he didn’t recognize the address and when we told him we’re in Bethany Beach he said “no way, that’s too far. you’re gonna have to come pick it up yourself.” mind you, google said it was an 11 minute drive/5 miles away. we then told him that we don’t have a car so we can’t pick it up, hence why we ordered delivery. then he said “oh, then i don’t know what to tell you.” and hung up. we never received the rest of our order that we paid for and the sushi that we did get tasted like literal playdough. will never order from here again especially with the manager’s attitude, terrible service and poor...

Went last weekend with family. Wanted to give the space a try as we very much enjoyed Flying Fish which used to be there but closed in 2019. Negative parts of the experience included:

The waiter wiping his forehead with his shirt to remove sweat while taking drink orders. The Crispy Rice meal with Salmon was "over-sauced" and had no rice in it. What was supposed to be "crispy rice" was a rock-hard block of what seemed like burnt / deep-fried crunchy brown rice. They were out of ginger ale (which was just icing on the cake in a list of long things). They had no miso soup (I have never been at a sushi restaurant that has been out of miso soup). Two people ordered fried rice. Whether the waiter forgot to put the order in or not, they came 30 minutes after all of the sushi. So the people who ordered sushi finished their meals about 15 minutes before the people who ordered fried rice received theirs. The fried rice was super mushy and over doused in soy sauce. Not good. The bathroom had no toilet paper.

Unfortunately will not...
