Hey, if you're in Fernandina Beach, FL and going fishing, check this place out. They have recently upgraded their shop as well! This is my one stop shop for all my bait (live and dead shrimp, mud minnows, fiddlers, mullet, and blue crab), tackle (weights, hooks, and rigs), equipment (rods and reels, tools, sand spikes, bait knives, and beach carts), and apparel (hats, shirts, and sunglasses). If you like to throw artificial, the shop literally has an entire wall to select from ranging from soft and hard baits. If you're looking to spool up that new reel you just purchased or wanting to replace that 5 yr mono on your old Penn, just talk to them about spooling.
If you're bringing your boat just pull in the back parking lot now. Plenty of room to park back there and you don't have to battle with busy 14th Street. The back door of the shop works just as easy as the front door, super convenient.
Any time I'm headed out to surf fish or go out in a boat, I stop here first. The employees are knowledgeable of the area and always happy to answer...
Read moreThis might or might not be my first google review of Amelia island bait & tackle, but I seriously can’t say enough good things about the store, the staff & the owner. I’m from Ohio but have vacationed to AI multiple times & honestly one of the things I get most excited about is visiting the store to get set up for whatever is in season/biting hot. I’ve never left the store disappointed & in the years I’ve been going there as an out of towner I’ve always felt welcomed & remembered. I’ve mad a point of stopping off to pick up gear from the store when I’ve been going to different parts of the state just because I know the prices are very fair & I’m supporting a local small business where everyone brings their “A”game every day. I don’t have the next trip planned yet, but I know I’ll be down there come spring!! Thank you for everything you guys do, you have helped keep me & my kids safe &...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars, I would. I just went in to buy a nice rod and reel and the blonde woman working there told me I could not look at them because they were working on the floors, which were 15 ft from where I needed to be to look at the rods. There was plenty of room and no reason to be a dick.
I asked if she knew of another place to buy a rod and reel since I can't look at what they have and was told "why don't you go f* yourself, f* you."
I'm glad I didn't have children with me.
I get it, doing flooring sucks, but treating your customers like this is terrible business. If this is what they are like, I will take my money elsewhere and I hope that everyone that reads this does too.
For the record, I did not leave anything out. I was polite and even greeted the woman with a smile when I walked in the door. She's just a bitter old...
