Walked in this morning and had no idea what we were doing, just had our poles and asked a bunch of questions. Nik set us up with all the gear we needed and explained everything so well! We had a great day and caught five different fish!! But the best was this 37 inch red fish! Biggest fish I’ve ever caught! I would recommend this place to anyone! They have everything you need and are very professional, clean and super friendly! Even got my new favorite sunglasses there!

I'm just your average Joe fisherman but Nick (the owner) treated me like I was a pro!!! I thought I was in need of buying a new reel but he took a look at my reel and told me that I had spooleded it incorrectly. He then respooled my reel in a matter of minutes and I ended up purchasing a new Penn reel anyhow. The prices were as competitive as any big box store and the service and selection were top notch!

Was visiting the Island for several days to go fishing and came in here for some info and tackle. Nick helped us get completely set up for our desired shore fishing. Was super helpful, answered all of our questions and gave us some great advice. Spent the next 3 days fishing and having a blast. Great place to go for everything you need! Thanks for making our visit that much more fun!

Hey, if you're in Fernandina Beach, FL and going fishing, check this place out. They have recently upgraded their shop as well! This is my one stop shop for all my bait (live and dead shrimp, mud minnows, fiddlers, mullet, and blue crab), tackle (weights, hooks, and rigs), equipment (rods and reels, tools, sand spikes, bait knives, and beach carts), and apparel (hats, shirts, and sunglasses). If you like to throw artificial, the shop literally has an entire wall to select from ranging from soft and hard baits. If you're looking to spool up that new reel you just purchased or wanting to replace that 5 yr mono on your old Penn, just talk to them about spooling.

If you're bringing your boat just pull in the back parking lot now. Plenty of room to park back there and you don't have to battle with busy 14th Street. The back door of the shop works just as easy as the front door, super convenient.

Any time I'm headed out to surf fish or go out in a boat, I stop here first. The employees are knowledgeable of the area and always happy to answer...

This might or might not be my first google review of Amelia island bait & tackle, but I seriously can’t say enough good things about the store, the staff & the owner. I’m from Ohio but have vacationed to AI multiple times & honestly one of the things I get most excited about is visiting the store to get set up for whatever is in season/biting hot. I’ve never left the store disappointed & in the years I’ve been going there as an out of towner I’ve always felt welcomed & remembered. I’ve mad a point of stopping off to pick up gear from the store when I’ve been going to different parts of the state just because I know the prices are very fair & I’m supporting a local small business where everyone brings their “A”game every day. I don’t have the next trip planned yet, but I know I’ll be down there come spring!! Thank you for everything you guys do, you have helped keep me & my kids safe &...

If I could give negative stars, I would. I just went in to buy a nice rod and reel and the blonde woman working there told me I could not look at them because they were working on the floors, which were 15 ft from where I needed to be to look at the rods. There was plenty of room and no reason to be a dick.

I asked if she knew of another place to buy a rod and reel since I can't look at what they have and was told "why don't you go f* yourself, f* you."

I'm glad I didn't have children with me.

I get it, doing flooring sucks, but treating your customers like this is terrible business. If this is what they are like, I will take my money elsewhere and I hope that everyone that reads this does too.

For the record, I did not leave anything out. I was polite and even greeted the woman with a smile when I walked in the door. She's just a bitter old...
