Came in on 12/16/24 to get a repair on two of my tires. The tire treads were too worn down for repair, which I was showed and agreed with. I was sold two new front tires. A few days later my check engine light came on. I took my vehicle to the dealership and my car system was flagged for incorrect tire sizes. I took my vehicle back to MTY Tire and they refused to correct the size issue.
The owner who only speaks another language and always has to use an interpreter said he told me they were different sizes. I donât remember having this conversation at all. I remember being told that they donât have that tire in stock but they have a different one. I was under the impression that the new tires would still be the correct size tires.
Regardless, of the circumstances itâs bad bussiness to sell incorrect tire sizes to customers. Iâm not a tire expert and Iâm relying on the expertise of a tire shop to put correct tires on my vehicle. To add insult to injury the owner then offered to put on the correct size tires at a discounted rate of $80 a piece.
My advice go to a different shop. I couldnât imagine Discount Tire selling you the wrong size tires and telling you theyâll work, only to find out they donât, and then offering to sell you the correct tire sizes for more money.
The owner doesnât seem to understand the concept of ethical...

Husband went to get his tires replaced and they sold him tires that donât even fit. It made a mess of all the sensors that we had to bring it to the dealership, and they informed us that the tires arenât the right size.
Ok, maybe the shop made a mistake. So we went back to the owner of this shop to let them know the tires didnât fit, and all he said was âI told you it was different. You said that was fine.â
Why would we buy tires that donât fit? And why would they sell us tires knowing this? Their solution to remedy the situation was to try to get us to buy more tires from them. Bad business ethics, bad customer service, they arenât to be trustedâŚgo somewhere reputable and save yourself the inevitable...
Read moreIve never had an issue with this place till today. We were told 2 tires for 70. Mount and balanced. When everything was done we were told it's $110. The sign on the wall says 4 tires $160. So it makes sense that 2 would be for $80. Nope. We would've never agreed if it was $110. The deal was what made us say yes in the first place. Every time this place goes up in price of tires. Just...
