Wow. I went to this location for the second time recently. And this time it really stuck with me how rude the woman with the longblonde/greyish hair was. Not only was she not pleasant, when I stuck my hand out to get the bag from her - she didn't put it in my hand. She put it on the counter. I was left with my hand sticking out.
As I left, I remembered that this same woman was short, unhelpful and made me feel as if she was doing me a favor last time I came here. I went on about my day and just forgot about it before. Thinking that maybe it was me or something I was doing. Or perhaps she was having a bad day. But this visit reminded me of the last and - no it isn't me. I don't recall anyone else in the store behaving like she does.
And when I came to do this review I see several others discussing the rudeness of the staff. You know how when you have a bad experience somewhere you wonder if you're just sensitive or it's something wrong with you? Seeing the other reviews mentioning the bad service made me feel secure that I wasn't off base in what I felt or experienced. So yes - apparently it's not us. It's them. How can you have a store that is stocked with items to convey love, joy and appreciation - then have staff (one or more) who does not convey any of the...
Read moreThe store itself has great inventory to choose from and is well maintained. The attitude of the staff makes me regret the $300 I spent there today. Every year we have a family tradition where we take our 6 children to pick out an ornament. There just seems to be this undertone of low morale among the staff and they were not welcoming at all. At checkout I asked if I could have a second bag to separate some of the items I had purchased as gifts. The cashier acted irritated by my request. You never know what people are going through and times are tough right now for a lot of people. However, if you aren’t going to provide stellar customer service at your job…do yourself and everyone else a favor and take a mental health day. I was also informed if you forget your coupons at home, you aren’t able to come back for a receipt adjustment. Not a good way to keep customers wanting to come back IMO.
We ended up stopping at the Hallmark in Carmel on Greyhound Pass today and the staff there were incredibly upbeat and kind. They will be my first stop next year when taking our kids out for our...
Read moreTerrible customer service. My son just placed an order for store pickup and there was only one item left. He called to ensure the item was still in stock before we drove over. The woman kept asking him questions like, "Is it Nora Fleming or Mudpie?" It was like she had no clue about their own stock.
When I came to the phone to try to help him answer her questions she says, "Ma'am, I'm going to go now because we're really busy." I thanked her for not helping us at all. If you're busy, no problem, take down the customer's number and ask to...
